Well, NCW both looks a lot like Jaime Lannister, plays him really well, and is damn fine to boot.
Same with Lena Headey for Cersei.
And I think Michelle Fairley is beautiful. Besides, every character was aged up for the series, so her and Sean Bean's casting makes sense
Oh, and all the younger actors are really fantastic!

Us ladies are spoilt for choice with the male members of the cast. Robb, Jon, Viserys, Jaime.. om nom nom. Must admit I have a teeny fangirl thing going on for Robb (Richard Madden), I've just started watching Sirens so I can moon over him some more *sigh*

Dany looks spot on imo, except the obvious fact of being older. Catelyn, Ned, Sansa, Cersei, Syrio, Joffrey, all really good casting. Arya and King Robert are absolutely fantastic. For season 2, I'm so excited for Natalie Dormer to play Margeary - again, she's clearly older but she is one beautiful woman. Loved her in The Tudors. The actress for Asha (not Yara, fools at HBO) looks good, tho maybe a little too sweet? And Brienne, well, I agree that she's gonna have to be "uglified" a bit haha

Overall, I think HBO did a fantastic job with the casting. I just don't think I'll be able to handle seeing

Hey, you forgot to mention the handsome men, as well   There are tons of good-looking people in the show.  All of the Starks are beautiful!  Even Bran, he is going to turn out to be a very handsome man, as someone else mentioned.  Jaime and Cersei are perfect, and I think Peter Dinklage is good-looking as well.  Wayyyy too attractive to really be Tyrion   And Jaqen - hot!  Also, Dany...I actually have gotten a lot of random people tell me, "Omg.  You look just like this girl from this show called GoT."  And we share the same name   One guy even said to me, "You look just like this girl from a show, named Dany.  You would never have heard of the show though, it's a guy's show."  I said, "Oh, you mean Daenerys Targaryen?"  He was speechless!  Hmm, Maergery is also beautiful.  And Renly is cute, if not a little boring.  Oh, and Ros...she is stunning!  Anyway, I care a little less about who is hot and who is not, and just hope all of the casting is perfect!

And I think the casting has been wonderful. Everyone looks pretty much like I imagined. I'm even ok with the aging up of the characters, it had to be done.

Would it be creepy to say Bran? He's gonna be a hottie in a few years time, cripple or not. Dany, smoking. Jamie grew on me and is now on the top of the list. Loras strangely does nothing for me.

Jorah is right up there too, but it's pretty bad casting from the book perspective - isn't he supposed to be 'bear like, not an attractive face with curly black hair?' It's hard to see why Dany wouldn't be head over heels by now with him looking how he does in the show and his knightly obsession for her.

Glad someone else noticed! Book Cersei in my imagination has a much softer face, and ringlets...someone a little more Gwendolyne looking perhaps, whose prettiness masks the scheming intelligence inside. Lana Headley looks like she's mentally engineering a Terminator every time she thinks and I've mentioned it before, but I find her sex scenes a bit scary. Though of course, no one can deny her hotness.

Dany is the best looking character in my opinion. I definitely like Lena Headley as well.

And dannister I would say we could swap you in as Daenerys, you have the Targaryen hair for sure haha.

Good god! If Emilia Clarke has "really wide" hips, then I must be a serious wide load   She is stunningly beautiful and her body is banging. She is clearly not supermodel thin, but she looks fit and she looks healthy, but she is FAR from being considered anything but fit. BTW, there ain't nothing wrong with some shapely hips.

As said previously, there are a couple of very attractive people on this show. It strikes my as how much my taste differ from yours I must say!

First of all, Dany isn't very attractive in my eyes. No one can say she is hideous, but there is something about her appearance I truly dislike. May sound abstract. Catelyn is attractive. When I think of it, Catelyn may actually be the most attractive woman in the show.

I'm one of those rare men who's able to appreciate the looks of other men without getting insecure about my manhood, and I can honestly say that many men in the series are really hot. For example, Waymar Royce: he made the chemicals in my mind to react in a strange order. He is very attractive. Jaime Lannister is a disturbing individual but aesthetically pleasant to look at. Ned is...Sean Bean. Nothing more to add there. Jon Snow's looks are appealing. Tyrion Lannister is attractive in many ways. Finally, I must admit that I find Varys attractive in some mysterious way. His calm and well mannered persona appeals to me.
Anyone else noticed something in Varys? =)

Varys is not quite bad if I must say so . I actually noticed it just a few days ago while rewatching the last episode of season 1.

I personally think Aiden Gillen who plays Littlefinger is smoking hot. And he's also a really good fit for the character. And Jaime is just... he's almost too perfect.

For the ladies? I am a big fan of Cersei. Can't wait to see Asha (Yara?) next season.

I'm particularly partial to Dany. May not be exactly what I pictured from the books, but she definitely got damned close. I also think that Arya is very good looking. Say what you will about that, but I don't think it can be denied that for her age she displays a great amount of facial development. Just a perfect blend between dainty and developed.

Cersei disappointed me a bit, but mainly because of my mind always being very Queen Victoria which I highly doubt was the intention. Catelyn also kind of bugs me because it seems like she can't decide on her look, so is stuck in the middle of looking noticeably old and only slightly old.

On the men's side, Jamie looks absolutely phenomenal. Not only a spitting image to the books, but Nikolai is just attractive in any sense of the word. Drogo and Eddard also get honorable mentions. Tyrion is just a damned handsome man too. Even Joffery, I feel, should get a spot. Oddly enough, I also think Jorah Mormont also looks rather good.

Jon's appearance always sort of bugged me for no real reason. Seriously, I can't even pin down much of a reason I don't like his appearance besides that it was radically off from what I imagined. Bran also just seems way too pampered when I thought Northmen were supposed to look harder, which even Jon and Robb have. Speaking of Robb, I hate his facial hair. Good looker though.
