Looking at the OP, it appears the former, but the rest of the posts seem be mixed.

But, my two cents for those who really look the part, they are Jeor Mormont and Barristan Selmy.

I agree. Jeor Mormont and Barristan Selmy are both perfectly cast.

And speaking of Mormonts, if we are talking hotness, Jorah is fine.

I like Jorah Mormont.  I hope things turn out better for him than I suspect they will.  You have to feel sorry for him.  One stupid act and his life goes into the privy, with only unrequited love to be had.

I almost feel too old to be fangirling it up but here it goes

Men: Jon - Normally longish and curly hair doesn't do it for me but on some guys, it works.
Jaime - Normally not into blondes and smirking, jackass type characters but he's grown on me. Still looks a bit like Prince Charming from Shrek, though.
Robb - I think I have thing for Northern boys. Or just Starks.
Renly - Not so much in season 1 but the stills from season 2 Dark hair and dark eyes are my weakness.
Littlefinger - Again, that smirking jackass character I normally can't stand but...

Women: Dany - Although I think it's more how the actress looks like in real life with her natural hair color. And Dany is one of my favorites.

When I found out the Carice van Houten has been cast Melisandre, and I googled the actress, I thought she'll fit perfectly, with the correct red colouring she'll be the beauty GRRM describes as Mel. But later, when seeing few shots, I was disappointed, the RED was not the red I imagined. The last video titled "Invitation to the Set" then showed that wonderfull shot of Mel near the nightfire, finally the RED was that red. All my faith was restored, and ATM Carice van Houten as Melisandre of Asshai is the No.1 in Season 2 for me.

First my favourite was Renly. Well when I saw the first pic of Renly from season two, I thought oh, it's just perfect. The Renly I saw on screen was absolutely the one I imagine reading the books apart from the lack of the Baratheon black hair, but Gethin Antony is fitting so wonderfully in the role that I barely see this little flaw ( same like the many occureance about eye colour of many characters).

Two remarkable casts I would like to mention: Stannis and Davos. I had some doubts about Stannis, most of all because of the released official photo of him and Mel. I really didn't like that hair. Well once again the last video, and really all the other where he looks amazing compensates.


Many people write Breinne, She'll be great. But I have to admit I am not really histeric about her.

Sansa is 15 vs 11 whereas Sandor is 42 vs 26, for example...

but meh.....I think they overall did a great job with the casting...

Liam Cunningham has a great Stannis look which is interesting because he is Davos, but I'm sure he will play the role really well.

I lot of people are saying that and I agree too. Liam Cunningham IS Stannis. The face, the voice...his whole figure is a perfect representation of Stannis. Let's  see what we get from Stephen Dillane but I can't understand their choice. They switched the roles!

Emilia Clarke is pretty hot, I have a weakness for somewhat petite but curvaceous women ... I also like her better with her dark hair, I have an even bigger weakness for petite but curvaceous brunettes ...

Lena Headey does nothing for me, nor do Sansa and Roz ... Arya, though, in a few years ....

Irri and Doreah are smoking hot (again, brunettes, ahhh ...)

I can´t wait to see Margaery next season, she looks so naughty, like some cat that has just secretly lapped up a bowl of cream.

BTW just how many women are here on the forums?  It seems like three girls for every guy

I think

Margarey looks completely different to how I imagined her. I loved Natalie in the Tudors but she'd so sensual and older...I envisioned a much younger actress - one like Sansa but maybe not as pretty. Brienne looks amazing
