Fear-dot-com
Plot holes you can drive a truck thru, and they couldn't even keep the idea of what exactly is scary and how the website ties to anything. Or was that 2 websites and a bad Ringu/Ring parody?
Saw that sucker for FREE and still wanted my money back!
Where the Wild Things Are
a children picture book of barely 20 pages should not become a 3 hour movie!
This movie tries too hard to be DEEP! and indie nostalgic or something.. that just 40 minutes in you just wanna scream "alright already, I GET IT!!" the monsters are a deep bullsh!t metaphor. can we move on now?!? as your fingers search for the fast-forward button
Adventureland
soooooooooo boring!!! Jesse Eisenberg gets his lines out as awkwardly as possible and Kristen Stewart is always on the verge of showing an emotion but never quite gets there. Does one need to be stoned stupid to find it funny?
Moulin Rouge
"seizure in a can" For something with such lavish costume and set designs, you'd think any shot can stay on it for more than 4 seconds to actually let me SEE THEM! Seriously, the movie gave me motion sickness
Avatar
Yes that one. Its pretty but awful as far as movies go. I don't mind a worn out dumb-as-nails story, but is it really that hard to tell it in more entertaining ways!?! CGI =\= plot
The only interesting & novel ideas about the planet itself (the whole "everyone has USB ports to flora/fauna") gets mercilessly buried under "OMG!! look! SHINY!!! BATTLES! things go boom!! " CGI Which wasn't even all that good... Personally, it made me sick enough to be unable to drive for next hour

Juno--I found the title character and the quirky dialog insufferable.
Hitman--Probably the worst movie I'ver ever paid to see. My friends wanted to see it and I tagged along. Plot had someting to do with the assassination of the Russian president that absolutely no sense, which wouldn't really matter in a good acton movie, but the action scenes sucked and the romance between the hitman and the russian girl was cringeworthy.
The Wicker Man (Nicolas Cage version)--My friend actually recommended this movie, and he went with me and some other friends to see it again. It was awful, but it's almost one of those so bad it's good movies. I certainly laughed more at Nicolas Cage romping around in a bear costume, punching random teenage girls and screaming at everybody than I ever did during When in Rome or other terrible comedies. Includes such great lines as "You little liars! and you're the biggest liar of them all!" when Cage is interrogating a classroom of first grade girls and their teacher, or "killing me won't bring back your goddamn honey!". I've heard the original is actually very good, but I don't think I could watch it without being reminded of this version.
Matrix Revolutions--Definitely not the worst movie, or even in the top 20, but probably the most disappointing. I was excited to see it, and it just didn't come close to my expectations. The battle scenes were boring for the most part and the ending was really cheesy. I still haven't rewatched it since I saw it in theaters.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Tim Burton's remake of this film had absolutely none of the merriment and wonder that the book contained. Everything in this movie was just gothic and creepy. I walked out of the theatre feeling violated.
Alice in Wonderland Who the hell do you think you are Tim Burton? Do you fancy yourself a better writer than Lewis Carrol? You sold me a ticket to watch Alice in Wonderland, and then gave me a poorly written pile of dung that had nothing to do with the book other than the character names. Shame on you.
Planet of the Apes Directed by Tim Burton.... Are we sensing a pattern here?.... Did he even watch a Planet of the Apes movie before he filmed this? The story had nothing to do with what made the original movies so gripping and remembered.
Now... all of that said
Big Fish
which Tim Burton wrote and directed was one of my favorite movies of all time.

I am truly glad you enjoyed the movie. I can even see why you liked it. As a story in and of itself, it was pretty solid. The casting was absolutely inspired. If you are going to cast an undead being bent on murderous rage, then who better than Christopher Walken to play the role. Johnny Depp was great portraying the timidness of Ichabod Crane, and Christina Ricci was perfect for her role as well. There was a lot to like about this movie.
I probably would have liked the movie if it would have been called anything other than Sleepy Hollow. Burton missed the entire point of the story. The story is based on fear of the unknown, and by defining what exactly the Headless Horseman was, he gave it limitations. By giving it limitations, he took the fear out of the story, and it bacame an action movie. I like action movies, but when I go to a movie called Sleepy Hollow, I am looking to be frightend. I am not looking for someone to give me an interpretation, I am looking for a representaion of a story that has been beloved since 1820. It is the absolute hight of arogance to think that you can rewrite a story that has been around for almost 200 years and then give your story the exact same name.

How can you screw up this film? You've got aliens. Predators. You can't go wrong, can you? Oh, yes you can. Let the brothers Strause show you just how horrible you can make a movie.
Not even fit for my garbage can.

I was all ready to jump on this, but that is BY FAR the most sensible reason I've ever heard to dislike the film. So kudos on that.
And yeah, I can't stand those other Burton flicks you mentioned either.
Worst film I have ever seen.
GUMMO
Seriously, If you want to see the worst film ever made... it is absolutey, and easly GUMMO.

This. Seriously! How can you screw up a movie that both Aliens! and Predators! Right away, this should have been a recipe for awesome, but all we got was a steaming pile of poo.
Skyline is probably the worst movie I payed to see ever!! I'm still pissed I paid full movie price to see this abysmal piece of shit. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=m0DjXh_EB7w
Everything is wrong with this movie! Acting, story, characters, direction.
I would also say Dragon Wars, http://youtu.be/MAwm-dRRv6M, but I saw that at a matinee and only payed $1.50 and I knew it was going to be laughably bad, but we were bored and there was nothing else to see...
As for the popular ones, I will never be able to scrub my brain clean of the traumatizing, nightmare candy, utterly stupid and preposterous excretion that is Splice. I didn't even pay to see it. I saw the damn thing on bootleg and I still feel like I WANT MY MONEY BACK! The acting was very good, so I will give it that, plus it had a really good premise, but everything else was just awful.
Since I watched it in bootleg, you know THE SCENE...
You can actually hear the audience in the theater laughing!!! FAIL! Don't even get me started on the ending because I might lose my breakfast all over my keyboard.

And, I'll probably catch a lot of hate for this one, Donnie Darko. It's not so much the movie itself that makes me hate it. It wasn't good, but it isn't just that. It was more how everyone I knew in high school (and quite a few people I know now) seemed to be obsessed with it and made it out to be like the best movie ever. I guess to me it seemed like it tried way too hard to be deep and failed miserably. I just don't see the appeal.

The American - where do I start? Horrible story, horrible directing, horrible acting. The story has neither the beginning nor the end and watching George Clooney trying to do some method acting is just painful. Stick to what you know, dude...
