Okay so there are 20 POV characters still alive at the time of the next book and GRRM has confirmed that the character split will end in this book. The best way I can figure for this to work out is if there are a lot more corpses by the end of this book. The 20 POV characters that have not been confirmed deceased are:

Tyrion Lannister
Jon Snow
Arya Stark
Sansa Stark
Bran Stark
Davos Seaworth
Theon Greyjoy
Asha Greyjoy
Brienne of Tarth
Samwell Tarly
Cersei Lannister
Jaime Lannister
Daenerys Targaryen
Areo Hotah
Arienne Martell
Jon Connington
Aeron Greyjoy
Victarion Greyjoy
Barristan Selmy
Melisandre

I have a feeling that roughly half of these are going to  be dead by the end of the eighth book. Any bets on who?

Un-named POV characters are toast, if you ask me. I imagine the ones introduced in A Game of Thrones and Clash of Kings (The Starks+Dany+Tyrion+Theon+Davos) have the best chances of survival.

GRRM has also said somewhere that since he's got a lot of POVs, he's going to need to start culling them. My guesses:

Barristan.
Aeron, after actually doing something useful.
Perhaps Victarion, but I think Aeron is more likely.
Connington is so toast.
So is Areo Hotah.
Theon.
I would add Asha, but that's probably wishful thinking since she annoys me.

I would guess that it'll be quite a bit into the next book before we get another Jon chapter, though.

I'm sorry, I seriously doubt all five Stark kids will make it.

I 've stopped trying to make gusses after the red wedding. If I still nursed any doubts Jon's stabbing smashed them.

Jaime Lannister

Daenerys Targaryen
Areo Hotah
Arienne Martell
Jon Connington
Aeron Greyjoy

Victarion Greyjoy
Barristan Selmy

Before the main die (Tyrion, Bran, Arya, Sansa, Jon, uh and i guess Dany {prob not}) they will meet back in Winterfell. And Victarion will live along with Davos and Sam. And I think the Lannisters will be hard to kill. Just give me the bastard of bolton and ill be happy

Tyrion Lannister - Cool.
Jon Snow - Cool, gettit, cuz he'd dead and frozen? :P
Arya Stark - Cool although I still wish she was older.
Sansa Stark - Cool
Bran Stark - Cool[ish]
Davos Seaworth - Probably just wishful thinking with him going to save Rickon and all but I wish he'd fall in a well right after.
Theon Greyjoy - Can he just die already? Reek, Reek it rhymes with morally-repugnant-slug-who's-lived-too-long.
Asha Greyjoy - I like her way more than her brother, one or two POV's wouldn't be amiss.
Brienne of Tarth - Another someone who's POV's are a snore fest. Also bound to be even more of cringe fest with her missing a cheek. Poor Brienne.
Samwell Tarly - As long as he doesn't call himself a craven and Fat Pink Mast, toe fungus and BREAST MILK DRINKING is never mentioned ever again cool.
Cersei Lannister - Cool, I wanna say if the lion's claws really have been pulled. Doubt it. But expect more crazy now that Kevan died like her dad.
Jaime Lannister - I am ambivalent to the existence to Jaime.
Daenerys Targaryen - As long as she stays far, far, far, far away from Meereen, cool.
Areo Hotah - OMG he's worst than Davos.
Arienne Martell - Eh.
Jon Connington - Eh.
Aeron Greyjoy - Kill. It. With. Fire.
Victarion Greyjoy - I'm hoping his evil Rollo hand strangles him after he finds out the mute is his brother.
Barristan Selmy - I have no quarrel with Ser Grandfather.
Melisandre - She's cool even if she is the most inept Red Priest of all the Red Priests we've met so far. (THREE!)

Its not up to GRRM who lives and dies,
that power lies with Goldenhand the Just.

Wait, what about the Boltons and the Frey's at Riverrun? Will they survive?

I think Cersie is going to overstep her bounds one to many times and get the ax.

Did you miss the part where Robb died?

Barristan will probably die. For some reason I feel like there might be an encounter between him and Victarion that will end unprettily for them both. Sadly, I think Davos and Connington might not make it. I think Melisandre will get the axe too, and perhaps Cersei and Hotah. Not sure about the others. Arianne is so generic I wish she'd die.

I am looking forward to many dead Freys and hopefully both Roose and Ramsay won't survive the next book. As for POV characters, I would bet money on Cersei, Ser Barry, either Aeron or Victarion, Theon, Jon Connington, Areo, and Melisandre not surviving the next book.

I have two ways of going at this. One is based on the pattern i believe i found (see that own thread.) The other is just my best guess. I'll list my best guessed here.

Areo Hotah becomes Aegon's Kingsguard since Aegon is supposed to be married to Arianna, and Hotah is perfect  bodyguard material.
Tyrion, lives since there needs to be a good lannister left.
Jon is cool.
Arya becomes a Faceless Woman and is hired by Littlefinger to kill Sansa after Sansa becomes a major player and ousts Littlefinger
Bran is good because he has to stop the Other's atleast for Winds of Winter
Davos Seaworth- he's so dead.
Theon I honestly think is going to live and redeem himself. possibly through the Wall.
Asha I think is finally going to get her crown in some way.
Brienne- doubt she'll last sadly.
Sam is good as could be
Cersei- BURN HER!
Jaime- my bet is he dies protecting Tommen
Connington-doesn't survive or is exiled because of his greyscale giving Areo a reason to exist.
Arianne-lives and marries Aegon
Aeron-dies not sure how yet but he does.
Victarion-fights Euron and dies
Selmy-doesn't outlive Dany who I think is going to live a while longer.
Melisandre- I have no idea.

I have a feeling at least two more of the Stark children will die before the end of the series. :(

Don't know if he'll die, but I don't think Bran will ever return from beyond the wall. Not sure about the other Stark children but I would be willing to bet that Rickon will be alive at the end of the series.

My personal opinion is that Rickon will be the last epilogue character
