Will Ros return in Season 2?

And speaking of Ros, if you watch the new trailer, looks like she has a scene with Joffrey this season. Not really looking forward to that.

I also noticed that! I guess Tyrion comes through on his promise to make a man out of Joffrey. I don't see this ending well.

The only scene with Ros that really annoyed me was the one with Pycelle in Ep. 10. Seriously, what the hell was the point of that scene!? With so much happening, why would you waste five minutes on a stupid scene like that where the audience doesn't anything they didn't already know (So Ros is a whore and Pycelle is a forgetful old turd? Well zip-a-dee-doo-da!)

As for her character going forward, I think its pretty clear that she's going to be taking Alayaya place based on the tiny snippets of her in the trailers. After that, she's most likely to replace the character Kyra.

You know, I wondered about the scene too, until I relistened to ACOK and came upon the scene where Tyrion and Shagga and Timmett--oh, SPOILERS, btw (I don't nkow how to do the tags yet)...

--come across Pycelle in a bed with a serving girl before they shave his beard off for being a spy to the Queen. I almost wonder if Ros isn't going to take the serving girl's place in the show, and if they had that scene in the first season to set up that Pycelle is a hypocritical, duplicitous old lecher.

She is pretty worthless, and the gratuitous sex scenes, basically all of which involve her, really take away from the show. Honestly, I do understand that some T&A can help attract some viewers, but a lot of the Ros scenes go way past that. I mean, I watched the 1st season episodes together with a group of people, and it was downright uncomfortable during a lot of those lengthy scenes. I think they should leave the soft core porn to late night cinemax.

Ok, as a huge Ros hater, I will have to admit that I am at least somewhat satisfied with her role this season so far. lol, that's not saying much, being one episode and all, but at least she is somewhat playing the role of someone from the books, and OMG I could not believe she had clothes on.

The fact that she had more screentime than Dany or Bran or Arya says a lot of about this show.

:agree: they need to keep her to a minimum and ONLY as a really necessary plot device.

Pretty sure it was said that she had more screen-time than Dany in the episodes that were screened. That's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

I think the whole Ros thing is largely overblown, aside from her leaving for King's Landing almost every scene with her had at least some reasoning behind it. (Though mostly sexposition which I could do without) That even goes for the infamous scene in episode 7.

I completely agree. She's like salt, best used in moderation.

I tolerated her up until S1E7. I found it ponderous that everyone was either screwing her or talking about her (Tyrion, Theon, Jon, etc.). It made her seem more important than she was. Then when she went to KL and began working for LF in 2.8 seconds flat I lost it. I understand the economy of using a known character rather than introducing (and hiring) another, but HBO has taken it too far with Ros. Are they going to use her for every single whore in Westeros (minus Shae)?! The sexposition and LF uncharacteristically blabbing personal history is a whole side issue that adds to my frustration/dislike of this character.

After reading these comments I can see that they may be leading her to take the place of the 'yayas, and I am ok with that. In fact it makes her much more acceptable, in that she's not a completely random character anymore, only useful for sexposition. That also has the side benefit of getting her off the show by season's end .

I really did not like her in episode 1 of season 2.

All of a sudden she seems to be second in command, regurgitating the instructions Petyr gave her last season to the new batch of whores.

But once again it just served to set up the scene

with the gold cloaks killing Robert's bastards.

Then in episode 2, which I saw at a friend of mines,

her acting really is not convincing as she blubbers because of the murders. Yet this scene serves to give a bit more insight on how nasty a man Petyr is.

Audiences want more Petyr and she is still a vessel for this.

lolol this season Ros has gotten more screen time than Dany has :bang:

I don't think that's a fair comparison. You can wonder what valuable events happen to Dany at the beginning of ACoK. If Dany gets more screen time, I think D&D will have to add/change a lot of things untill quarth. Otherwise, her story is quite lame for a television audience.
