I knew Robb was going to die because my brother spoiled it for me during the first season of the show. I read the books after that and the Red Wedding still shocked me because I didn't know the circumstances of his death.
My brother also spoiled Ned's death for me during the show. That was the first character that I really loved so his death really stung, but now that I've read the books I just know that everyone is fair game.
Ruining it for yourself.

I was really good; I didn't look up any spoilers when I was reading. I started reading the boos after watching the first series, read the second book alongside the second series then finished the rest, so not a huge amount was spoiled for me (except, of course; Ned's Death)
