Favourite Music Video's

What are your favorite music videos? Not necessarily your favourite songs, but the video's you could watch over and over again, and why?
I like a lot of the more indulgent ones, the mini-movies, where the imagery is all about the song, whether or not it tells a story of it's own. Things like "Take On Me", by A-Ha.
But I also find myself watching certain videos over and over again, lately, live or not, that concentrate on the performers. I'm not a musician, not even remotely. You couldn't pay me to play an instrument - but there is something about watching a master perform, like Neal Peart on drums, and being able to see him giving his all to it.
It's little things, sometimes - Like watching a live version of "Go Your Own Way", and watching Mick's face and how much joy he takes in the act.
Sometimes, it's watching a band, or just the lead guy 20 years after the band is done, doing a show, like ELO, and seeing the looks on the faces of the players knowing the effect they are having on the audience.
I watched an amazing version of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells - So many people, all so talented, creating something I never expected when I decided I felt like that song...And their expressions as it came together and built up. Th esong was amazing - but seeing them realize what they had just created was breathtaking.

On the other side of the fence, thisis the sexiest live performance of anything, ever.
For the prog-nerd in me, I've always enjoyed thisperformance by Rush of YYZ. They look like they're having a helluva lot of fun whilst playing an incredible song.

I loved "Distant Early Warning" by Rush when it came out but looking back at the video now it seems kind of lame esp. compared to the song! LOL
"By the Way" another RHCP is a pretty funny video.
I may have to come back & edit this post a lot LOL

Had to track this thread down, but thanks for this. I don't listen to as much music as I like, but while I had heard of the band, I don't think I had ever heard it before. This was amazing. Have to get the old itunes account fired up again just for that, havent bought a song in ages.

Metallica - Onewas a video that scared me when I was little, but its now in my top favorites. So chilling, creepy and a touches on a controversial subject matter. The combination of the movie clips and the song is a very powerful statement.
My favorite dance video is hands down Janet Jackson - If. That song is still hot. I love the move where she grabs the male dancer's crotch from behind.
Just about any music video that comes from Tool is extraordinary but Sober is quite memorable despite being nightmare candy.
As for the newer ones - whatever your opinion of My Chemical Romance may be, I believe many of their videos are truly amazing. Helena is probably my favorite. These boys never learned the meaning of subtlety and that's okay with me.

This Too Shall Pass is the most famous, and with good reason. But other good ones are White Knuckles, Here It Goes Again, and the second This Too Shall Passvideo.

Too bad, it's not a bad tune at all, and, honestly, Billy never did make a good video...just ones that were less bad.
Also - Greenskeepers - Lotion
