Fantasy Baseball Experts League 2012

I get:
Kemp/Span/Romo
Bronn gets:
Pujols/De Aza/Chapman
I know Pujols will end up turning things around. But there are some things that concern me to the point where I thought getting the best player in fantasy baseball would be useful. I think Kemp ends up with similar numbers to Pujols but with 40 steals and I find that immensely valuable.
That being said, it's a pretty fair trade as Chapman is a stud, especially if he starts and De Aza is a great 4th outfielder. Once Pujols starts hitting, it'll come in bunches and Bronn should gain a ton from that, especially as Kemp regresses, but at this point in time I'd rather have Kemp.
That gives me an outfield of Kemp/Hamilton/CarGo/McCutchen/Bourn. That's just crazy insane.

I didn't even get Garza in my offer. Seriously I am willing to make a trade but probably not the player you were asking for.

I get Andrew McCutchen + Santiago Casilla
Mex gets Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Altuve, Hector Santiago, + Matt Thornton
I'm really sad to see Edwin + Altuve go. Edwin has been the #3 player in the league so far, and it seems like he hits a bomb every day. Not to mention the unexpected speed with 4 steals. And Altuve is hitting like .370 with 4 steals himself. But I felt like my team really needed a guy like McCutchen, who does everything, is reliable, and should be good for another 20-20 season (or better hopefully). Plus, I like the small upgrade at closer, and the fact that I could open up a couple roster spots.
For Mex, he's getting two guys who are really breaking out this year. Edwin could easily be 30 HR + 100 RBI in the heart of the Toronto lineup. And he fills a need at 3B, because Mexal just lost Longoria for 2 months. And Altuve is an upgrade for him at 2B/MI as well.

On a side note, I currently have the 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7th ranked players in our league at the moment. I can only hope the production keeps up.

On the plus side you know you just didn't jinx your team. Naturally they are going to keep up the performance from the first month over the whole season. That always happens.

My team has suffered a ton of injuries and other issues over the past few days, both at hitter and SP. Willing to deal a closer to upgrade either of those areas.

Let me look at what you have and I will send an offer. I am not sure if I want to get rid of the guy you were asking for or if so, I would need a better hitter back then the guy you offered. Have not given it much thought yet.
Crazy that Sale is named closer after you trade away the other two White Sox guys. I liked the trade for both of you but it kind of sucks for Mexal. At least he got the Cubs guy (I think).

Fuentez gets Corey Hart and Kirk Niewenhuis
I get David Robertson and Lucas Duda
I originally asked for Trumbo and was turned down and then went for Duda. I probably overpaid but I needed another closer now that Rivera is gone and Robertson should be top 10 (unless he pitches like he did tonight).
If anyone is in the roto league, check out my team. I am like 1/30 in hitting and had Kennedy, Haren and Chris Perez pitching. I don't think I ever saw an uglier day.

I get Mat Latos
JJ gets Jonathan Broxton
I'll admit, Latos wasn't the guy I wanted. I was trying to get Wainwright from JJ. Or I was also after Hart from Groz (which is probably what led to him offering him in other deals). That said, I do need pitching. And while my expectations for Latos are lower now that he's out of SD, I still think he can be a solid contributor worth about $10-12.
Just have to hope that the rest of the season is going to look more like his last start than the garbage he was throwing out in April. Historically, he's been a slow starter. And I recently read that his velocity is trending upwards, so that could be good (though his control is supposedly still a problem).

Yeah. I did not think I would trade Hart but I had convinced myself to trade him when I made my counter to you. Made some offers at the same time and the one with Fuentez is the one that stuck. Was it the hitter I was asking for or the closer (or both) that had you reject my offer?

I think your offer was Hart for Myers + LaRoche? I just didn't see enough separation between Hart and LaRoche to give up a closer who is SP eligible.
I did send a counter, but Fuentez must have accepted your deal before you saw (or decided) on it.

Yeah, my negotiations with Fuentez were going on then. I was thinking of countering with Luke Scott instead of LaRoche and a different closer but then I got Robertson in my head (Yankees fan and all).
