Who's the most "famous" hero alive in Westeros?

I think out of all of these the one that would qualify as a living legend, so to speak, is Ser Barristan Selmy. Almost everyone seems to know him (or rather, everyone in Westeros and some across the Narrow Sea). Sansa's POV at the Trident when Selmy and Renly come to greet the royal procession suggests as much. There are others, but he's the only one that strikes me as "legendary" in people's minds and an overall "good" hero. He also seems to be the last knight alive from his generation. His peers are mostly dead and the stuff of songs and epic tales.

Agreed. Barristan the Bold has the best and most wide-spread reputation in the Seven Kingdoms. Everyone knows who Barristan Selmy is in the Seven Kingdoms.

And, as the title of the thread states, Selmy is absolutely seen as a hero.
