Hi guys, first time poster here. I just got the DVD of game of thrones. I was just wondering whether the DVD version has the hidden dragons eggs, or if it is only the blue ray? If it does have the eggs, how do you get to them?

thanks guys

I've only seen that denoted as a Blu-Ray feature, so I'm thinking it's exclusive to that format.

On a related note, pre-ordering from Amazon was great due to the huge price break, but my expected delivery date is between the 9th and the 13th!   Kind of a bummer getting the set several days later than everyone else.

Amazon's expected delivery dates usually paint a bleaker picture than the actual delivery delivers, in my experience.  I think they like to give buyers slightly lowered expectations, so they don't complain if the delivery ends up being a little slow, and then the actual delivery usually comes faster than gullible customers expect, resulting in an occasional happy customer.

Was that a backhanded way of calling me gullible?  :P

I order from Amazon an average of once a month or so but this may be my first experience with them in terms of a set release date.  So yeah, I hope you're right.

In this instance, Amazon UK was a really bad value choice. It was cheaper in supermarkets (I got mine from Tescos for £32.99 versus £34.99 from Amazon) without having to wait for delivery.

Weird.  I haven't price checked Wal-Mart or any of the other local discount joints, but I assumed the $34.99 was a super deal.

Oh well, at least that's one fewer check out line I'll have to stand in.  ;)

That was just an added bonus; I thought of going with "inexperienced," but whatever.  :)  I'm an American, and have only ordered from Amazon UK to get my sister in the Netherlands a gift once or twice, so I'm not really that experienced with how accurate their delivery estimates are over thar.

Dragon eggs are ONLY on Blu-Ray edition.  And Amazon usually delivers faster than the expected time.  They always give a longer expected delivery date, I think to encourage you to go Prime or purchase more expensive shipping.  Plus, like someone mentioned, you'll rarely be disappointed.  Thankfully, I don't have this problem because I have Prime.  I have a guaranteed delivery date of the release date :D  And they only shipped mine the night before.  So yeah, they can definitely get things out fast.  As far as Wal-Mart price, on their site they list it as $42 (in the United States).  It does look like Best Buy has it for $34.99 though.

Someone at Winteriscoming mentioned picking it up at Meijer for $29.99, which is about the lowest price I've seen. I'm tempted to stop by there this afternoon....

Got mine as well.  Don't have HBO so I can finally watch the entire series.

Also, there were only 2 copies left when I got it, so it looks like this is proving to be a hot seller.

I'm about worried about amazon, they ship DHL, i search DHL reviews and find a bunch of people complaining about packages never delivered!
I live in an apartment and now I'm thinking they'll not be able to fit it in my mail box and will leave it exposed for random neighbours to take.

DHL doesn't really even exist anymore, and where they are used it's the post office that actually delivers it the last mile.

Doesn't come out here until the 16th :tantrum: I have it pre-ordered at a store where my credit card loyalty points can be spent like cash so I should only have to pay actual cash to cover about 50% of the price.

I order from Amazon all of the time and haven't had anything delivered from DHL for as long as I can remember.  It's always FedEx, UPS, USPS, and if they DO use DHL, like another Leuf said it will just be delivered by your local post office.

Amazon shipped mine out last night!  It should get to my house by Friday which was important cause I really wanted to watch it this weekend.    I've too have never had an issue with their arrival dates once something has shipped.  They usually ship to me via FedEx, which is convenient since I live right next to Memphis.

Got mine at Target for 34.99. Target gives you an extra disk about the making of the special effects (Target exclusive).
