As for the ships, Vicky's got some ships, as said before, and yes, a lot more can be build, but that will take some time, so I guess she will just hire a new fleet from like Yi-Ti or Asshaï.

So where does Salladhor Saan, mighty pirate, come in to play?
Or the Krakens?

I never thought about sailing around the world and landing in the West - that would be a nice way to fulfill "West to go East". The only problem is that I don't know how big the world actually is, and how long a trip it is from Asshai to Lannisport headed east. However, because this is not a normal winter, I suspect even the southern seas will be rough going.
I agree completely about the fleet - she's taking Victarion's ships one way or another, and maybe the Volantene fleet, too.

Seems to me she could do a lot worse than turning things over to King Shakaz I. That's a man who'd be more competent at hanging onto to power than the people she left ruling Astapor.

Why does Dany need to abandon the Meereenese? Winter has arrived, and the Long Night is coming. Everyone in the world needs protecting.

She needs to abandon them because the logistics of taking the population of a few cities to Westeros are impossible to overcome.

Abandon is the wrong word for it -- particularly as they don't want to go to Westeros anyway. She needs to find a suitable council that can rule in her absence.

She will probably try to do that, but she tried the same thing in Astapor and it didn't work out too well. The lesson she is learning in Meereen is that she can't right all of the world's wrongs. I don't think she is going to fly off into the sunset laughing at the destruction she's left behind her, but she is going to have to accept that she can't fix Slaver's Bay and leave it to its own devices.

Alternatively, she heads east, to Asshai, and is lost on the sunset sea. Eventually the dragons make their way to Westeros, and are ridden by various targaryen descendants, but not Dany.

Though with Euron harrassing the shields the narrow sea has nothing but outlaws and pirates (Salladhor Saan, Aurane Waters, the rest of Stannis' ships who survived the Blackwater).
And why does everyone assume Aurane will join Daenarys, he was a Stannis man and if he brought the dromonds to Stannis with the excuse that he planned to cross the Lannisters Stannis would welcome him back, he is no fool, he knows that a comely boy with boats is better than a comely head and no boats.
And Aegon might even decided, or be decided for him, that Daenarys is useless, and the ships the Golden Company had would smash her fleet, unsullied don't fight in water, they are for making formations and standing their ground and dothraki would piss their breeches at the sight of a ship coming at ramming speed towards them.
