The Best imaginable Scenes from the Winds of Winter

a free shadow

Recommended Posts

In the first (2) or (3) chapters I would like to see Jon awakening in Winterfell's Godswood to the sound of one approaching. He shakes off the cobwebs from inside his head, stands and turns as he rises to the sight of Eddard Stark. After they embrace, Eddard tells him that his time has not yet come, that he has a purpose and needs to return for the good of the realm and fulfill his destiny. He also recalls the promise he made Jon on the kings road that the next time they see each other they would talk about his mother. Ned tells him that he is his Uncle and his sister Lyanna is his Mother. That while he did not intend the hurt it has caused him, he insures him it was the only option to protect him. The truth and his purpose will be found in the crypts below Winterfell, he tells Jon to go there and he will understand what it is he is to do. After a long silence, Ned tells him he always loved him as a son and with that Jon asks the logical question, If you are not my father then who is? But before Ned could speak, Jon felt a strong force pulling him away from the Godswood and his father, he awakes in Ghost who is at the foot of Jon's smoking body in the snow as Melisandre approaches, with Eddard's words "the crypts, Jon, go to the crypts" ringing in his head.

Ramsay riding North in order to catch Reek and "Arya", meeting a resurrected Jon Snow on the way, turning into a good ol' combat between the two of them. The whole thing ends with Jon winning in a "Fuck yeah! The Starks!" moment.

Cersei going completely crazy after the death of Tommen and Myrcella, causing her to go into Aerys Targaryen mode, attempting to burn the city down with wildfire, until she's finally killed by Jaime, Loras, The Hound or some other valonquar.

Stannis going into a one-on-one combat with Roose Bolton during the battle of Winterfell and winning because he is Stannis and is awesome.

Daenerys offering Tyrion to become her Hand after giving her a lot of good advices.

Sansa meeting Lady Stoneheart, with LS giving up her life afterwards because at least one of her children is in a good place and yada yada.

I can picture how awesome that would be not just on the page but on the show as well.

Other things to look forward to....

Victarion and Ser Jorah killing each other in combat. Two annoying characters gone at once!

Victarion and Ser Jorah killing each other in combat. Two annoying characters gone at once!

The annoying ones always survive, Winnief. :)

The wall falling. Um, this is best as in best to read, right?

Vic steals a dragon, Dany has a hissy fit, follows him to Westeros immediately, stopping only to slit the Green Grace's throat.

UnCat attacks the Twins, strangles Walder.

Jamie and Brienne make passionate love beneath the stars. Jamie realises Cerc wasn't such an amazing lover afterall.

Jamie betraying the Freys at the behest of UnCat. I don't see how this would happen, but it would be nice.

Bran wargs a dragon. Yeah, and then he summons it to the cave, gets on its back with his friends and rides to the Jon's rescue. Well, of course he does, what would you do if you could warg a dragon?

I'd like Theon to kill Ramsay by slowing removing each of his limbs with a blunt rusty sword, all the while limping around Ramsay's ruin of a body and taking his time and talking nonstop (a bit like John MacLane when he is pissed) .

And to finish with, while Ramsay is still holding to life, Theon would use one of Bolton's severed hand to remove his cock (not easy I guess, so all the more painful.)

And when Ramsay thinks Theon is going to end his suffering for good, he just walks away singing "What's your name again...

As first posts go that one takes them all.

....George, is that you?

I've been lurking for a while, but I figured this is as good as any thread to lose my maiden-post! :)

The best thing that could ever happen for me in tWoW would be:

a) the prologue/first chapter is called "The Gravedigger". Like WOW, that would just be amazing to have confirmation that Sandor is alive (he's my favorite charcter!), as well as a glimpse into his inner thoughts. Imagine- describing his recovery from near death and how his life outlook his changed, reflections on Arya's last words to him, his thoughts on rumours that have reached the QI about UnGregor, and of course a good amount of Sansa thoughts interrupting all his inner processes, like "...but I left my little bird for that Imp..." playing through his head like an old tape. Even if he didn't show up again for the rest of the book I would be satisfied.

OR

b ) I would absolutly love for Sansa to, in some form, awaken her natural inner warg or skinchanger. I know many think think this would be too many warg-Starks, however it would be so cool to have her dream through the eyes of a falcon, raven, or dog. She could glimpse Nymeria, she could get a leg up on Littlefinger's scheming, and of course being a hopeless romantic, perhaps she could soar far away to places like the Quiet Isle...

I know, none of this will probably happen... I love GRRM and he will certainly do a better job. I just really want these two people more than any in the series to meet again, in a platonic, romantic or guardian way. PLEASE GODS.

*edit: omitted a smiley

After that new Episode, i can only think of the Night's King dramatically appearing behind an opening gate in a Hood, waiting for two random heroes to emerge from the Crowd, then dramatically revealing his magnificent horned Head and flashing some sort of ice blade thingy with two blades. Then fighting.

Except, you've noticed, prologue and epilogue characters always die at the end of the chapter, so if Sandor appeared in a prologue it would not be good for him. And you would not see him again for good.

edit: Welcome to the board of course. :)

What I wouldn't mind seeing is Arya coming across Sansa escorted by Jamie and Brienne thinking that Sansa is prisoner of the Lannisters she attacks them. Only after injurying Jamie and about to kill Brienne does Sansa try to stop Arya not knowing that it is Arya finding herself looking up the point of Arya's sword with Arya asking why Sansa tried to save these Lannisters?!

The crannogmen make an ambush to the party that is taking lord edmure and lady jeyne and one of the soldiers survives just to go and infect kKL with the poison he got from his wound/s. They are freed and take riverrun back with the help from the people in the castle, flay all the freys inside and after they are skinless they feed them to the goats
