My top 3 Cersei moments:
- The scene when she contrast her and Jaime´s education (and the way she was going to be used soley as brood mare) broke my heart and made me justify much of the shit she has pulled off.
- 90% mess, 10% magic - and the magic turns out to be the biggest mess . Another moment where I felt real sorry for her
- Her pride and strength when Ned tries to confront her. She owns this scene

This!! I love the 90% mess and 10% magic! I feel sympathy for her as it relates to her being a woman of intelligence and goals in a world where your husband and/or master sets your goals. I don't like her sexual relation with Jaime. I find it disgusting. However, I admire her for her consistency in trying to achieve power, albeit by proxy.

Dang, I need a "High Five" emoticon! This will have to do:
Cersei became my favourite character about five minutes after I started reading Cersei threads on this forum.

Absolutely.
I also loved her astute "There is such a dearth of sacking songs."

Right! And that's why the crazed-for-Cersei posters are so wrong, and it's so funny to read their posts (just like the posts of the crazed-for-other-characters). They just don't get it. Cersei is trying to be the biggest bitch on the planet, and to do that George has built up a bitchin' past.
Every time I read that scene where Mace Tyrell tries to give her condolences and says there was no one like Tywin, and she thinks to herself, I'm a female Tywin you moron (don't have my book here, words to that effect) I crack up. Soooo Lannister arrogant!

Okay. So I've finally gotten around to Cersei's POV chapters on my reread. First of all, I have to say that I like her because she's witty. The way her POV reads is brilliant - a scene springs to mind between her and Jaime, when she refused him a dance because she didn't want him 'fumbling at her with that stump'. She asks him to refill his cup, but he says a cripple like him couldn't manage it, so she had to fill her own cup. That kind of satire just really gets to me - I might be weird
Anywho, she's a fascinating character, mainly because she is an unreliable narrator. I felt some sympathy for her life, and her consequential actions, and when she mentioned that no man had ever made her feel so good as Joffrey did when she nursed him. Little bit creepy wording, imo, but it could show that she genuinely does love her children, or Joffrey at least. She's a hard character to like, I have to say, especially with the way she treats Tommen and others as if they are disposable and without feelings, but she fascinates me, and her chapters can be damn funny.

Especially if you take into account the delicious irony that house Lannister´s inofficial motto song (Reins of Castamere) is indeed a sacking song :-)
