Whenever something horrible happens to the Starks, it is painful for me to read. They're such a good family, and I remember that on my first ever read through from AGOT to AFFC, it was always the Stark tragedies that made me rage and rage, and feel sad. Absolutely nothing can repair what's happened to them now, it'll just never be the same again. It really brings home to you that the most compelling relationships in ASOIAF are the ties of family and brotherhood, far more than romantic love.

The biggest "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGH" moment for me :-

I went crazy when they executed Ned Stark. I watched the TV show first so when the episode ended, I actually sat in silence for an hour... not able to believe it and feeling a monstrous rage against Cersei, Joffrey, Littlefinger, Payne, Varys and even Sansa.

I was also damn, damn pissed during the following events :-

When Catelyn treats Jon like shit when he comes to bid farewell to Bran.
Dany being tricked by Mirri Maaz dur leading to death of Khal Drogo.
Stannis losing the war at the end of Clash of Kings.
Events of Red Wedding (Though somehow I didn't feel too much "pain" since I saw it coming but still, it was damn depressing)
Tyrion being accused of Joffrey's murder.

Lysa Tully's actions.
Lady Stoneheart and Brienne part.
When Thorne and Janos accuse Jon of being turncloak and imprison him despite Jon leading and helping NW on wall.
When Theon captured Winterfell and "executed" Bran and Rickon Stark and the whole burning of Winterfell.
When Davos was captured by Manderly.
When Shae stood as a witness against tyrion.
THE PINK LETTER... I was shaking with anger and I just couldn't accept at that moment that Stannis was dead.

For me the most disappointing moment so far was the death of Viserys.Stannis' countinuing survival is also frustrating. However the only thing that can really enrage me will be if by the end of the story the Targaryans are extinct(or Jon is the only remaining "Targaryan").If that happens I swear books will burn!

The one that springs to my mind first is Oberyn getting himself killed after he had practically won that damn fight agaiinst Gregor! I wanted to yell at him how stooopid one single human being could be...ugh.
Also Bowen going all Brutus on Jon and Ned having to kill Lady.
Strangely Ned's beheading or the RW made me feel more sad and shocked than angry.

I agree with so much of the things you've listed!

Tyrion really angered me too, when he strangled Shae... How can you kill a young girl who was just trying to survive?? Ok, she shouldn't have told all that private details in front of all the court during the trial... but did she deserve to die for that?
After all it wasn't her fault if you stewed that singer, and it wasn't her fault if you believed that she loved you. She was a whore. But instead of paying her for her work, you made her Lollys' servant! so she had to look for another client - someone who pays his debts. It wasn't her fault, you can't kill her for that!

I think that it angered me because I used to like Tyrion so much, but this action really disappointed me.

When I reached the last Brienne chapter in AFFC (the last book back then) and realised it ends with the worst kind of a cliffhanger possible.

When Robb thought with the wrong head and lost the North with his raging hormones....I wanted to SMACK him!
When Tyrion strangled Shae (like she had a choice?  I am sure her life was threatened by Tywin and I'm still thinking she was planted in his bed while he was doing his business and he didn't know she was even there when Tyrion murdered him)
When Cersei.....well....all the time with her
When Sandor was left dying......although I'm glad he may yet be alive
When Oberon died after finally stabbing Gregor

Whenever I read a Dany chapter...oh...wait...I gloss over those and yawn

I must be the only one who didn't react negatively to the Red Wedding. I just thought it was an awesome mafia style execution. Maybe it's because I never found myself necessarily rooting for Robb to win the war against the Lannisters.

I also never really "raged" but the ONLY time I was upset over something that happened in the books was when Ned was killed because it seemed like he was the main protagonist. Since then it was clear that there really isn't any type of main protagonist and I loved any and all drama and craziness. : )

while i was rooting for robb to win, i, too, thought of the moment as "an awesome mafia style execution."

and i haven't raged about anything yet, but i have been unhappy or sad about many things. however, as things are ultimately resolved, i may rage over stuff in the next books.

- Lysa´s fall: She was not a good person and I do not like her. If she was killed by any Stark whom she betrayed or executed after having faced trial for her involvement in the war I honestly would not be sad or angry. But the fact that LF not only killed her but also felt the need to emotionally torture her before pushing her our of the moon door makes me so angry. For all of her faults Lysa always has deeply loved him, given him her total loyality and devotion. How he repays it tells us everthing we need to know about him.

- What they did to Elia and to Catelyn´s corps

- Randall Tarly´s "education methods"

- The Ironborn killing my favorite Maester

When Ramsay massacred the Northern army outside Winterfell and killed Rodrick Cessel. 2000 men slaughtered at the hands of 600. I don't know if it was unrealistic or not, but I hated (and loved, I suppose) that GRRM could turn the odds in such favour of the bad guys.

Ah, I did rage over the Ned and the RW (especially how they desecrated the bodies, I wanted to scream!) as well as Oberyn getting himself killed, as many others. Also, Cersei asking for Lady's death, Theon listening to "Reek" in ACoK, the horrors in the Riverlands Gregor put the smallfolk through (and basically anything Gregor ever did), Harma Dog's head killing dogs, Dany not listening to the Shavepate about dealing with the Sons of the Harpy, Jon and the Old Bear being assassinated of course but also Wun Wun being attacked/bullied (I love that veggie giant...), the Freys talking shit at Manderly's court when Davos visited and this:

Quote

Selyse regarding Hardhome: Let them die.

ETA: Massacre of the Children of the Forest and burning of the weirwoods by the Andals.

The RW, Ned's beheading, Theon taking Winterfell were all gutting, but the ones that made me most angry were:

-   after having held the wall against impossible odds, Jon being accused of being a turncloak by massive duches Slynt and Thorn - I physically threw down the book at that point!
-   after having saved KL through bravery and ingenuity, Tyrion being seen as the devil incarnate by the small folk and treated like s**t by his family

Come to think of it, both are quite similar so I guess I'm predictable

More than the RW, what really made me rage was the disrespecful way they treated Robb and Catelyn's corpses. That really made my blood boil! They were the freaking king in the North and his lady mother! I enjoyed every second of that pie scene in ADWD just for this.

Dany ordering the torture of the wineseller daughters in front of their father in ADWD. She wasn't very high on my esteem but after this she just hit rock bottom.

Victarion- all of it! Back in ADWD I kept wishing he got something like Ebola from those monkeys

Theon's pillage and murder of those in the Stony Shore and his later actions in Winterfell. All because of his daddy loves my sister more complex

Catelyn kidnapping Tyrion. I know it was a bet of sorts, but kidnapping Tywin Lannister's son out of the blue always seemed stupid to me. Ever heard of the rains of Castamere? If you are willing to bet against the Lannisters, you better make sure you have the right chips.

When the Hound killed Mychah and then laughed about it.

When Jaime pushed Bran off that tower.

Jon's last chapter in ADWD. Not only because of the cliffhanger but because there was lots of potential for great actions with the mission to Winterfell.

Oberyn's death when he was sooo close to winning.

LF creeping tendencies on Sansa. They just freaked me out and I hate that everything seems to be going so well for him. I can't wait for him to go down.

This one really truly made me rage:

"When she woke next morning, she was blind."

The FM blinding Arya was just a stab in the guts for me. After what happened with Bran, it seemed too cruel a thing to do to Arya.

There have been lots of secondary ones. Here are some:

When that girl tries to escape from Ramsay Snow and doesn't make it.   :ack:

Lord Manderly executing Davos in AFFC, the way it was mentioned was so casual and sudden! That's also my #1 moment for "timeline confusion", which later of course got resolved with ADWD.

When Doran was prattling on about how Tywin Lannister must know what great allies they have in Sunspear, I thought the guy was a horrible sellout (like Pycelle squared or something).

I got spoilered about the Red Wedding, so the shock was not as great as it might have been, but it still pissed me off. Especially what they did with Robb and Catelyn's bodies, the slimy Frey and Bolton scum !

The hanging of Brenne seemed (still seems) monstrously unfair. I rather liked Lady Stoneheart up to that point, and her habit of hanging Freys like Christmas ornaments. In fact, Biter nearly chewing off Brenne's face before that also seemed monstrously unfair. Why would she of all people deserve any of that ?

Bran and Rickon being "murdered" annoyed me - then it confused me - then it annoyed me again.

Oberyn getting killed just as he was about to triumph.

The Ides of Marsh - I doubt Jon's actually dead, but it still pisses me off.

Jon Snow being arrested by Slynt and Thorne after saving the Wall.
