Is it clear to everyone that the "storm of swords" was Stannis´ arrival to aid the nightswatch as they fought the wildlings beyond the wall?

It wasnt to me, but ive heard lots of people thinking that. If you ask me, it was the Red Wedding. The storm of arrows falling into the Starks and the storm of swords that fell upon his army outside the castle.

Which one is it to you?

I don't really think the title references only one particular scene in the book, but it's more like an indication that a lot happens in this volume as opposed to the other two: Danny taking out the slave cities, The Red Wedding, the fight against the wildlings, there's a lot of action going on, which is a bit funny since technically Clash was the one focusing on the war.

I agree with this. There is a lot of slaughter in throughout the entire book.

I always thought A Feast for Crows would have been a better fit for this book, but be that as it may, IMO the title refers to all the battles that take place in this one.

To be fair, when G. Martin decided the name "Feast..." he already had published "Storm..." so maybe he felt the same as you later.

also, there was a lot of fighting.

that's pretty much how I looked at it.

It just sounds nice. Besides the series name first book, a "C" of "K". a "S" of "S". a "F" "F" c. a "D" of "D". Its all very catchy.
Ah this doesn't do the book justice though, that was just a passing thought ;) I always thought It was just the amount of violence in the book compared to the first two books.

I thought the same thing the other day. I just finished today and thought hmmm....how did the title suit the book and have to agree w/others on the battles w/the wildlings, the Red Wedding, Arya and Sandor's fight w/Polliver and the Tickler, Jamie and Brienne, and who can forget.....Ser Gregor and Oberyn. There was a lot of swordplay, but I wouldn't say one moment that defined the book. The closest would be the Red Wedding IMO if you want to do that.

The whole book was in autom, there where many rains, there were storms when Robb was going up to the twins where there where swords, so:

It doesn't refer to a single event as much as it refers to all the important plot violence that basically change the story quite drastically.

Guys, I'm on Feast right now and reading this thread reminds me of the sheer blood bath that was aSoS. A friend who only watches the series was asking me who survives the next two seasons, I told him any given character has about a 42% chance of surviving through to season 5.

*MAJOR SPOILER FROM STORM OF SWORDS BELOW, DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU'VE FINISHED THE BOOK

Not nearly as much clashing between kings as one would be led to believe. There's really only one battle directly between kings.
