Also, not an abbreviation, but I have seen Qyburn's creation, aka Ser Robert Strong, be referred to as the Qyborg.
edit: also, the PWWP (Prince Who was Promised) and the YMBQ (Younger, More Beautiful Queen).

Many of these are achaic carry-overs from usenet:
FWIW, OTOH, YMM, AFAIK, etc... (For what it's worth, on the other hand, your mileage may vary, as far as I know)

In normal times, people might know if you are male or female. Or at least your friends will know. Twice in a row you have been KotP, or QotP.
Hah Hah figure it out.

Explanation for the apparent Floob, pwetty pwease
Fl00b is a concatenation of "flood" and "noobs", so a flood of noobs, basically meaning "lots of new people", which was what happened when GoT launched on HBO. Before that, the people on the board were all here because of the books, but with the TV-series a huge amount of new people arrived.
Us oldbies a bit sarcastically refer to it as "the fl00b".
You can imagine what it was like during the first couple of weeks when we got 10 "OMG u gyus I think NEd isnt Jons dad!!???" threads a day. Overall it's nice with new faces and over time, things will settle down and people who can't behave will be shucked out, while the nice ones will stay. As it has always been.

Ah thanks!
Yeah, I can imagine the first weeks or months must have been very annoying at times

If Rhaegar is alive, Tormund Giantsbane would like to sue him because "Tower of Joy" is one of the registered names of his member.
