Catelyn

Dunno if Bronn, the Hound, or Jaqen counts, since they seem popular with fans

If Qyburn was a bit more like the medic from Team Fortress 2, he might be a serious guilty pleasure for me

well, on my first reading i sort of thought these two men were a little boring, but now they've grown on me after reading the books so much, so i find myself intrigued about: victarion & stannis.
tywin, doran (when young), could be two more whom i guess i wouldn't mind having married if i was a character. tywin seems to have been pretty loyal and in love with his wife when she was alive; and i am curious as to why doran had such a difficult time with his wife. what went wrong between them since it appears they were in love when they first married?

Tywin is interesting because he's a horrible person but one who's psychologically understandable. You can imagine spending your formative years watching your father ruin your inheritance and be the laughing stock of the kingdom. If it didn't break you it would probably turn you into a ruthless, calculating SOB. Then the one person he could ever be human with died giving birth to a child he's ashamed of - don't feel guilty, he's an interesting character, which is far better than being a "good" one.

I like Dagmer Cleftjaw, which is not too guilty. Although he raids the Stony Shore and capture Torrhen's Square in the war against the Starks, he is compassionate and understanding towards Theon, being the only complete father figure Theon has ever known.

It was cultural differences between Dorne and Norvos that led to the separation between Doran and Mellario, it reached a climax after Quentyn was sent off to ward, then Mellario decided she would leave him. As for Tywin, it was no secret that he cared for his wife very deeply, her companionship made him a better person in some respects.

Sam (I imagine we'd play hours of Zelda while eating ample baked goods).

But Mance and Arthur Sword-of-the-Morning Dayne are the hands down dreamiest.

I actually felt quite attached to Merret Frey, even though he is both a top alcoholic and a Frey, because his military career was  such an absolute shambles and ended with him getting his skull caved in at an age where i still thought that sneaking a beer was absolutely mental

Theon, always and forever.

I love Patchface.

My love for the Ironborn even though many people don't like them and find their story terribly boring. Which leads to another...Yes, I do enjoy the Damphair as a character very much. I mean, I like him a lot...I actually missed him in ADwD  I needed more Damphair crazy! :leaving:
Again, with the Ironborn...I do love me some Victarion. No I can't explain it, but I just love his chapters. They are horrible, cruel, and rapey but i can't stop myself from wanting to see more of them. I would include my strange thing for Theon, , but I learned to accept that a long time ago. :drunk:

Another guilty pleasure is that I love Dany, still. She upset me in ADwD, but she's my girl and I'm rooting for her. This is starting to become a guilty pleasure from what I've seen lately. Yes, I want her to rule the Iron Throne and if she becomes eeviiilll, all the more better :P . Its a guilty pleasure in itself to enjoy a favorite character go totally dark side and wreak destruction wherever they go. Also, I loved her story and I don't find her chapters boring. I have faith she will reach Westeros in the next book. :cool4:

Catelyn is another favorite, but I don't believe there is anything guilty about loving Lady Stark. Mhm, I said it. Don't feel shamed, Cat fans! :grouphug:

Seconded on the Theon. He's so terrible in action but after his visit to the bolton's you just kinda feel for the guy. Though i do yell "Shut up Theon" at the show whenever he's ass kissing and my hubby, who hasn't read the books, doesn't know why.

Viserys.  I blame the show for that. I just love the pretty crazy ones.

I like Catelyn and Sansa. I don't see any problem with Brienne's chapters. I wish I could see way more of Melisandre. And I'm obsessed with Stannis at the moment.

I think he is a pretty horrible person too; can't stand him. He's ruthless and nasty. I think he really screwed up all three of his kids. I always wonder what he would be like if he had not lost his wife. I think that's what I love about him. I think secretly, deep down, he desperately wants the love of a good women. Or, maybe I'm just fangirling over him. Dunno.

Catelyn and Sansa happen to be two of my favorite characters. I love their POVs and find  both of them fascinating. I didn't care for Stannis at first but he's really grown on me.

I actually liked Viserys....

I also enjoyed Brienne's chapters in FFC for the most part. I realize her story was a little pointless but I like her nontheless.

I like the Tyrells (even Mace)

:agree:
Mace is the worst of them, and even then he's just a hilariously self-important bore. His mom is obviously badass and his children are just as great (It's unfortunate we don't get to meet Willis and Garlan, but what we know of them sounds exceptional) . The whole family watches out for each other. I think they're my favorite house, to be honest. I can't help but feel they get a bad rap, for a number of reasons.
