The return of Hot Pie

Doubtful. But will he come back? He left Arya at the Trident to stay and bake at an old run down inn.
Would GRRM really keep him with Arya for two books only to cast him aside forever? He rarely does that.
I know Hot Pie was craven and overweight and a pain in Arya and Gendry's ass, but he was their friend.
I quite liked him. I would like to see him again, not sure when or how though. Thoughts?

That made me chuckle
You must recommend that to GRRM as a new catchphrase.
I once wondered if Hot Pie had anything to do with the Frey Pies.
But then I found no proof other than he bakes and was nearby.
And I thought it quite silly, seeing as he knew Arya and would likely not kill her brother.

He wasn't anything special.
But I liked him too. I liked him because he was just some noob being dragged along for the ride. All he wanted to do was pie.

On a serious note, George has said pretty recently that at least Hot Pie/Gendry/Bronn are the minor-ish characters we haven't heard the last of.
@morkish outpost
The theory is not about the looks, only that when Cersei did her walk, a voice in the background kept going "Hot pies! Hot pies!"
Could "A Dream of Spring" be the name of the new bakery Hot Pie will have for himself? Spoiler alert!

He and Lord Manderly will be bffs and he will become Westeros's equivalent of Ferran Adrià. It is known

Ndrew, seven save you if you're serious!
I love Hot Pie, he was hilarious, pure comedy gold. The actor who plays him is brilliant too: "He had armour on". HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE THAT?!
