I want Bayern to win it. Apart from Ribery I quite like them, whereas Madrid and Barca are full of wankers and I don't much like Chelsea either.

Barca has one of the biggest wankers in Football-Sergio Busquets, I quite like Madrid though, they are sort of my second team since Jose took over.

In terms of talent, I think Bayern and Madrid are similar, but Mourinho's a much better manager than Heynckes. Madrid is less of a broken team and the attack is much less predictable.

I like Madrid more than Barca (from the rampant arseholery of Biscuits and Alves to the smugness of Xavi to the oh-so-innocent act of lickle Leo 'try the Hand of God goal whenever I can' Messi they wind me up so much), but they still have Ramos and Pepe and Ronaldo.

Out of curiosity, who is your first team?

20 years of the premier league awards

Team - Arsenal invincibles (Man Utd 99 treble winners honourable mention)
Goal - Bergkamp spin v Newcastle (honourable mention to di canio)
Game - Liverpool 4 v Newcastle 3 (no other game comes close)
Manager - Fergie, anyone who says any different is a douchebag
Celebration - Cantona and his arrogant collar

I have to say its a pity that David Seaman's save against Sunderland was in the FA Cup or that would be a massive contender there.

I don't see Bayern getting past Madrid, but I really don't want two teams from the same league contesting the final. Those tend to be the least exciting ones, and besides that's not how the European Cup is supposed to work.

Bayern deserved the result, played very well. And Marcelo deserved a red card for that.

A question for anyone following La Liga: some years back I had the opportunity to tour some of the major cities of Andalusia. They were all pretty great but I really fell in love with Granada. Is there any reason I shouldn't root for their club? I'm talking stuff like "their captain is a racist dickface" or "their players have a rep for attempting to injure opposing players," I don't care if the squad is any good or if they have a shot at any honors.

Marcelo is easily one of the biggest douches on Madrid.  Remember his antics last year vs Barcelona?

I don't know anything about stuff like that when it comes to Granada. They are a very small club and haven't had an opportunity to build much of a reputation in this respect. According to Wikipedia their greatest success was reaching the Copa del Rey final (then Copa del Generalisimo) in the 50s.

They are still in danger of being relegated, and in Spain relegation can be pretty brutal on a club; it wouldn't be surprising if they found themselves in the third or fourth division a few years after leaving the Primera División, which could make watching them on TV difficult.

They also have some kind of deal with Udinese Calcio in Italy, where they'll take plenty of Udinese players on loan to get them playing practice or something, who are then either going back to Italy or are sold for profit, so not getting too attached to players is probably a good idea.;)

i really hate those conspiracy theories, but given the way refs are influencing the game, and the fact that cronaldo vs messi matchup would be the best one marketing-wise, i guess it will be.
real is not that much better than bayern (if at all) and chelsea is on quite a rise in form recently so barca, while still being favourites to go through, are not certain to go through and yet majority of the football world is quite convinced that we're in for an el classico final.

since mourinho took over, i dislike real madrid.
i've never really liked them but this whole "referees are against us" crying and playing a bunch of thugs like pepe, ramos and marcelo is unacceptable in my book.

Come on man, don't be silly. Blame incompetence or the difficulty-level before premeditation.

I haven't seen much of the game, but from what I saw I gather Real played on half power. They have their away-goal, so they can be pleased about that. I don't see Bayern advancing. One streak of brilliance/madness from on the Real forwards and Bayern's weak defence is on it's collective ass.

I disliked Real Madrid since they started buying stars for the sake of buying them. From memory, the first seasons with Zidane were still OK, but after that it rapidly deteriorated. Also, I hate Guti Haz with a passion. Belligerent little prick.

Barcelona may be divers and wankers, but Real is only out to destroy the game. Anyone who fields a trio of retarded butchers like Pepe, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo should be banned from the game.

And really, diving and being a wanker is part and parcel of the modern game. It sucks, but there it is.

I wasn't saying it was a conspiracy
