Please help. On my blackberry, I used to peruse this board in some special mobile viewing mod that loaded rather quickly. I then clicked the "Full Version" button on the bottom of the board page, and now it's like viewing the board from a normal computer, but it takes forever to load a page on my blackberry. Does anyone know how I can switch back to Mobile Version? I can't find a button to click. Many thanks.

As for auto loading on a mobile device I have never had IPB do that by default.

Thank you! That took 5 tries and 20 minutes to effectuate (damn slow bberry), but fixed the issue.

Yes, would be nice if they made IPB so it could tell if someone was using a mobile device and auto change the theme, but I'm sure that would be a lot of "useless coding."

I've tried to move various mobile devices into a group that should default to the mobile skin. Let me know if it works.

I've been having a weird problem that when I first open the site using my IPB app (iPhone) it takes me to the full home page, but if I select a topic or sub forum it switches to mobile skin. Not really a problem but just weird. It also doesn't do it every time.

Another problem I sometimes have is that if I view my content, and select the little blue dot to go to first unread post, it takes me to the opening post.

This is actually happening on my computer too.

I think this is because of cookies. I have turned off database storage of read post info so as to improve board performance, and so it stores the data in a oookie... but some browsers may be blocking the cookie, and devices might have different. cookies.

This is really cramping my style.  Even though I have cookies enabled on my browser (Chrome), My Content never updates what I have read and what I haven't, nor can I quickly get to the last unread post.  What do you recommend to work around the board database storage/cookies problem?

Logout, clear cookies, log back in. See if that helps.

Didn't see this thread when I made mine.  Same issue as Spork's (when browsing mobile, no trouble on PC).

Has anyone tried using the Tapatalk app instead of the IPB app?  It's not free, so I haven't used it, but perhaps it works better?

ETA: Also, since I'm talking about the IPB app, I want to make a complaint.  Before the last major update (a skin change? dunno), adding and editing posts was straightforward.  Now, there are two problems:

1. The quote function does not work
2. The touchscreen keyboard intrudes into the text area, and the text doesn't autoscroll, which means you have to add a bunch of spaces after a longer post or you won't be able to read it as you type, which is annoying.  The "edit" function still uses the old typing window, which is much much better than the one used for "add reply" and "add new topic".

The first unread feature is working for me now, at least on my PC.  Not sure if it's the cookies thing, or if Ran changed the board settings again (thank you if so).  Either way I like it.

Changed the board setting for now. Traffic isn't so bad Thursday-Saturday.

The IPB app is not working properly with the latest version of IPB. They're working on an update to release at some point, don't know the ETA.
