Mine are the two Maesters, Luwin and Pycelle, both are secondary characters but so well done. Also i obviously want more Hot Pie but i'm also very impressed with Arya, she's becoming one of my favorite characters if not my favorite character. All of your inputs are welcomed! Cheers :)!

Not Dontos Hollard, that's for sure!

Probably Balon/Theon tied, with Tyrion a close second.

As far as new characters go, Balon is exactly as I imagined him (although that is NOT a hard task).

Out of the new characters it's Davos, Liam is flawless   also, I'm absolutely surprised by Alfie Allen playing Theon brilliantly this season. Maisie as Arya is also brilliant, and Kit/Jon is killing it, his acting has improved significantly from season one.

"Have you grown fond of me, Stark, is that it? I've never seen you with a girl..."

Of the new characters, Davos.

Of the new characters def. Balon- exactly how i pictured him. Even his voice is the same. Brienne- weve seen little of her but she ks just like i pictures her and i love the actress and her dedication to the character and books and Jaqen- I just love how he talks!

Of the old characters Arya continues to be the best, Varys NAILS it everytime he's on screen. Theon has improved a lot- even though when I read the books I don't picture Allie Allen he is doing a great job. I like renly much more this season... I think the writing for the character is better as he shows more confidence and isn't just crying about blood or shaving his chest.

Tyrion I don't even need to touch on. Been great as usual

I like the kids who play Myrcella and Tommen also... They are definitely as sweet and likable as they are in the books, though I wish they had kept the line where she tells Joff- "were children, we're supposed to be childish."

Also major props to the kids in Arya gang. They showed up just for a bit last season, but I love Gendry and Hot Pie and Lommy's yield was epic

Yoren was a major bad ass this season 2 I always liked.

Of the people I dont like- Littlefinger is just pissing me off. I don't like carcetti at all in this role. And the writing for the character is shit. Real shame IMO D & D really dropped the ball on this casting and making owning brothels his most notable trait to non book readers. I thought LF was hilarious, cool, collected, in the books and info none of these things from the actor or the way he's written. ( and yes I know LF owns brothels in the books but they are far from his most distinguishable traits)

Stannis has underwhelmed considerably... He needs to step his game up because he will be not only more important for the rest of this season, but for the next 3 or 4 seasons after this he grows considerably more important and grows into one of the heros IMO

i think out of all the character's that we've seen so far that Varys ( Conleth Hill ) and Tyrion have been the ones that have been nailed and spot on. Varys the way he talks and his cunning is exactly how i pictured him, he's doing a perfect job!!

As far as Stannis goes i agree with you but the most important parts are yet to come. The Garden of Bones will really give him a chance to be smug and unrelenting as Stannis is in the books. I have faith as he is an excellent actor!!

Patrick Malahide is doing an excellent job as Balon.  He and Alfie Allen (who could wind up getting an Emmy for this) have amazing chemistry.  Their facial expressions are uncanny.

Francis Magee really did brilliantly as Yoren.  I enjoyed all of his scenes.  The part where he offered booze to Arya was funny, sweet and all that good stuff.

I think Stannis is doing well but it is Davos I like in that clique.  I think I have a bit of a problem with Melisandre.  Not sure if it is the acting or the characterization.  She is a little campy and overdone in my eyes -- like a stereotypical fantasy enchantress who is creepy and mysterious for the simple sake of being creepy and mysterious.  I thought the holy woman from series one was more fitting and naturally frightening. But, it is early days yet.  She could prove to be loads better.

Isn't that the point? To some degree with Melisandre it is just for the sake of being creepy and mysterious, she is like the flaming sword, not what she seems.

For me it's Balon and it's not even close. He has been superb.
Edit: That's only looking at the newly introduced characters. Otherwise Cersei and Tyrion beg for attention.

Could be.  I've not read the books so I don't have that insight.  But, right now, she is not striking a chord with me.  She is kind of a camp late-night horror hostess at the moment.

Jaime,

When Robb confronted him with his secret.....my god his acting there nearly made me cry. His face and expression....perfect.

Yoren, did great.

Gendry and Arya = Fantastic.

Stannis, although he needs to be more colder and act in fury.

Melisandre has been good as well, more nude scenes please.

Davos, perfect.
