Hello, I am a longtime fan who had been using the forum for some time and only recently decided to get an account.

While I can view my own profile and am not experiencing the same difficulties as many other users in that regard, I am currently
unable to edit articles.

When I click view source, I can see the bare-bones text of the article in a layout similar to that of WIkipedia or any other wiki.
However, there is no option for me to save the page or add new content - no edit box appears at the top of my screen.

Can anybody help me out with this problem? I have a good deal of familiarity with ASOIAF and would like to contribute.

I realize that this concerns the wiki and not the forum, but I can't find any other help interface.
Some guidance would really be appreciated.

You need to have at least one proper post on the forum in an area that actually increments post cost. The help forum isn't sufficient. Drop by the Wiki sub-forum and say hi or contribute to the conversation.

Okay, thank you. What is post cost?

I'm assuming post cost is the relationship between positive value of the post and the expense of storing the post in the board's servers.

Would that be an example of what you're looking for?

Err! Post count, not post cost. And yes, you incremented it properly.
