I reckon we could do with a Game of Thrones mid-season meet up in early May and then an end of season party in the first week of June.
Since I am scheduled to be working in the London office for the next couple of Tuesdays I will selfishly suggest 1 May as a possible meet-up date. If not how about the 8 May? OK I know Tuesdays are not a typical evening for a BWB meet-up, Thursday is normally the day we do these things (easier to get away with being a bit hungover on a Friday) so if the majority vote for another date that's not a Tuesday then that's cool with me.
Once we have an agreed date then we can start looking for a venue which will be dependent upon how many people are interested in attending.

Here's a suggestion...
London's oldest-established SF&F meetup is The Circle meet, which happens on the first Thursday of every month at the Melton Mowbray pub, Chancery Lane. Nothing to stop us turning up there; it's a friendly bunch!

This thread seems to have stalled a bit, we probably need to decide on a date soon if a meet is going to happen.
Since LMG got closest to actually suggesting a date (that's more than 24 hours in the future), how about we go with his suggestion of Tuesday 8th May? I don't have any strong feelings about where to meet, but I'll suggest the Penderel's Oak, unless someone comes in with an alternative suggestion.

I'm afraid that I will not be attending anything in the near future now. It's much too close to the imminent arrival of PtwP and it's just too much like hard work to haul my ever expanding carcass into the centre of London when I can't even drink.
Have fun all!

I was all ready to organise a May meet-up but then realised that May was quickly becoming full of chaos and it is looking harder for me to do this. That said, I am happy to come along for a drink on 8th with anyone who wants to. Failing that, the second last week of May would work for me.
Are there any pubs that show the HBO series in London? I searched and could not find any. A special screening would require a fair number of attendees to be worthwhile.

It sounds like it will be a relatively small meet on Tuesday. Maybe we can discuss when to have a future meet-up in a month or so while we're there.
I should probably be at the Penderel's Oak about 6-ish if that's where we're meeting.

I think MountainGoat did investigate this last year when the first season was on, but couldn't really find anywhere suitable?

I should turn up at around 6, maybe a few minutes beforehand. M will have to leave very soon after 6pm for his tabletop session but will come to say hello to everyone who's there that early.
I won't be staying too long as I can't walk properly after some over-exertions on Sunday and everything hurtsssssss... but am looking forward to seeing you, even if just for one bevvy.
