I don't shave my legs often...but when I do, I use a Gillete Mach 5.
Really - we got the original Mach 5 at Chez Chataya in a box of Star Wars Legos...it came complimentary. Best leg shave I've ever had.
On the Gender Fail thread, which we shall let fail of its own accord, a recent razor discussion was brought about...and I think it belongs here, in a nice home of its own. By the way, I think the average single use ladies' disposable razor (Daisy) is utter shit, since I always nick myself with it.
Ladies? Gentlemen?

i used my female roommates razor blade, a venus something or other, last week for a job interview, because i ddn't have time to go to the store and grab a new razor. As you can see in my avatar, i have a pretty scruffy beard. Anyway it took me a serous hour of shaving with that thing.
Never again.

When I shaved my beard I bought a gillette pro-fusion because it is an electric trimmer that comes with a regular razor that you can attach. Due to the extreme level of manliness, there was no way I could do the beard with a razor blade without ripping my face off, so that's why I bought that. I guess the razor portion is a mach 3 equivalent. Normally, I rarely actually shave with cream and all that, I use a beard trimmer with no guard because it is faster.

A million years ago, when I was in middle school, I started shaving with a Flicker. It was round, and had four or five rotating blades. I thought it was a marvel of technology. I also used Nair, a depilatory cream, which I'm sure contained a fair share of carcinogens. Now, I use Venus. I'm always in awe of my husband, and how he can tell when I've used his razor. It's like magic.

There is no Mach 5. There is the Mach 3 and then the Fusion 5-bladed razor. (6-bladed, actually, if you count the one on the back.)
Anyway, the Fusion is my razor of choice, with Fusion Proglide blades. Yes, yes... I'm a victim of marketing and whatnot... but I've tried all and sundry razors and a fresh new Fusion Proglide treats my face something awesome. I even went the safety razor route after some convincing marketing by Ini in one of the shaving threads a couple of years ago. It was ok, but I still preferred the Gillette razors.
I can stretch a Fusion cartridge for up to a month and still get a decent shave. That's probably because I never shave against the grain; only with the grain and perpendicular to the grain.
eta: I had a Fusion Power at one time. It didn't work any better for me than the normal Fusion.

I use the Mach 3 as well. I generally only shave Monday and Wednesday mornings (unless I'm on vacation - then I don't shave). So the blades last me a good long while. After the blades have become too dull for me my wife still likes to use them to shave her legs.

Mach 3, plus an electric for an initial trim if I haven't shaved for about a week or so.
My experience with the stuff over 3 blades is that they get more ungainly, (as has already been noticed on this thread) and that they seem to clog too easily and be difficult to clean. For example, my dad gave me two different Schick razors with 4 blades, in both cases not enough of the hair rinses out after using it for a few passes and it seems like it's not effective anymore.

I hate shaving. I have extremely sensitive skin. Apparently a level of sensitivity higher than what my shaving cream/after shave was designed for.
I've tried too many razors to name, and am on the verge of going electric. As an added perk, I dont think my wife will be using it.

Thanks Chats, for making this a new thread.
Gillette Venus here. I used the Mach 3 for years and loved it, but my mom bought me Venus (hate the name) stuff a few years ago and I loved it even more. I like the extra plastic stuff around the blade; with the mach 3, the blade felt a little floppy around my shin and ankle, but with the Venus, I feel more stable. I change the blade every four shaves, so like once a month.
Interesting the love for Gillette here. None of the girls want to trim their bushes with the Shick Quattro Trimstyle for Women?
