[Ser Erebus]

Aside from shrewdness, savvy and street smarts which characters do you think would have the highest IQs?
My money would be on:
1. Master Aemon
2. Rhaegar
3. Doran Martell
4. Samwell Tarly
5. Margaery Tyrell
Any thoughts?

Tyrion is definitely not just street smart. He is an inventor, he is pretty decent at "reading people" and is a swift learner, not to mention well read.

Interesting first post. I would immediately exclude Rhaegar. What a idiot move with Lyanna. Even if it wasn't kidnapping, you had to realize what would happen. I would potentially move everyone else up the list, but and slide in the queen of thorns for Margaery, and Tyrion below her.

I was thinking about the Queen of thorns but I don't think she would consent to any kind of intelligence test. Based on her execution... of events at Joffrey's wedding I definitely think she deserves a place

Littlefinger, Varys and Tyrion are all extremely intelligent.

Sam and Aemon are both extremely "book smart," but I'm not sure how that translates to shrewdness and cunning. I suppose you could say that Sam had pretty decent cunning when he fibbed to Mallister and Pyke.

Umm... I love Dany and all..but she is hopless...if she shouldnt be anywhere on this list and the if you have read ADwD you would know shrewd she is not....
