I don't think anyone will literally travel to the Land of Always Winter and physically explore it, I think he just means we'll learn more about what's actually there and what the deal with the Others is.

how about jon dies wargs into ghost and ghost travel's there

Takes too long, and no food up there for him to eat. A weirwood tree survives winter quite well though, even if it's never summer there....

I remember Martin talking about Dany, that she's going to westeros for a route nobody went before (maybe to the south, through the summer isles?) ...and to go north you must go south....

Who will go into the far north, where humans and probably animals would freeze to death? I'd say Dany, Jon and Tyrion, or whoever rides on the backs of dragons - the only vehicles in Westeros/Essos with built in heaters, and powerful ones at that - and only for a short time, to confront whatever's up there. So I'd say we'll probably get a mostly aerial view. Yeah, and Bran and Bloodraven can can accompany them "in spirit." But this is more what I'd like to see than a prediction, so ...

(Or maybe I just really don't want to see dead warged Jon or UnJon.)

I've always sort of been hoping that Benjen is "really dead" or half-zombified even if he tried to go up there, rather than waiting to re-emerge happy and victorious in the end. It would sort of add a bit of realism - a close relative of main characters who was introduced in the first few chapters, who's been MIA for the rest of the books to this point, really did die on an extremely dangerous mission, even if he hangs around as a sentient zombie for a while waiting to tell someone what he's learned, if he hasn't already told Bloodraven.

(Or maybe I'm just wanting him to be a sacrificial lamb so that there can be a respectable death toll and other main characters can make it out alive to rebuild Westeros. Evil me.)

There is speculation that the Starks have some Other blood and they might have some unique abilities ecspecially if they are Nights Watch.

I image a huge beautiful castle made of solid ice, and that Benjen Stark is a powerful wight that is sitting on the Ice Throne, and he is the true King of Winter... The Nightsking.

Freaking sissies. I always had respect for men of the nights watch because I thought their lives were pretty darn hard. Now though, their lives were hard because they were living in Canada?! I guess the good news is that in the long run the Starks will be one of the wealthiest families in the world because they'll find out they own all the large deposits of natural resources.

As a side note: As winterfel is further south than the wall (Canada) wouldn't this make their climate much different? Say New York, or middle of the US?

As I understand it George means the geographic likeness with Canadian forests + much, much colder climate.
