So which manager would give you confidence that you can challenge for the top 4 is available and might want to take on the car crash that is Liverpool right now?
Rafa or AVB

What about van Gaal.
He's got nothing to do but i'm not sure how well his personality will mesh with the club Liverpool and their ethic

Fredy Montero and Brek Shea are getting looked at by Liverpool. Hope it happens for their sake but I will unfortunately be forced to hate them.

I can understand why they would, and I don't know what you can do about it, but I hate the idea that MLS is just a farm for European teams.

Well AvB is obviously the other big rumour but while he obviously did good in Portugal and might well succeed given time, I'm not sure why just recently getting fired for not challenging for the CL with a club in a pretty similar situation to Liverpool gives you confidence. The one big thing with him is that he'll probably know how to get the best out of Suarez, at least on a footballing level, but I can see him struggling even more with Kenny's buys than Kenny did and therefore you'd need yet another massive personnel retool.

Rafa I just can't see as a good idea. You've just suffered from one club legend damaging his legacy, and much as he did some great work and left a legacy beyond just the on-pitch success with his retooling of the academy structure, he left for a reason. Mind, maybe his time out of football will have done him some good.
