1. he is an immoral, narcissist for most of his life - didn't Cersei(?) say that they looked identical as children so the twincest is probably some form of self-love ('I'm so wonderful nobody is good enough for me except female ME!')
2. he pushes Bran out of the window because Cersei asks him to do something (not necessarily want she meant though) and he loves her 'The things I do for love' not because he was protecting his 3 children. Didn't he admit feeling nothing for them at one stage (though I can't remember where)
His interaction with Brienne is making him a better person. When he rescues her from the bear pit is a turning point for him (though he did leave her behind originally) and I especially like it when, first, he corrects Steelshanks who calls Brienne a wench. "Her name's Brienne." (ASOS2). Then when Steelshanks calls her wench a few moments later, he corrects him again "Her name is Brienne," Jaime said. "Brienne, the maid of Tarth..." (aww!) Then later he treats Pia nicely.
Now I'm beginning to think he deserves a happy ending even though what he did to Bran is unforgiveable (and I think he will pay for this). Also I hope he eventually gets the recognition he deserves for saving Kings Landings when Robert won the war.

Its not Jaimes fault that men who lost friends/family in the major war of their time would decide to not let the family who sat out the war steal the throne? What the hell are you talking about man?
If Jaime had kept his kingsguard vows, and did his duty to the realm, he'd have stayed away from his sister, and not helped push the realm onto the edge of a blade.
And Robert was a bad king and a bad husband, but the rape allegations laid against him seem to be embellished.
He was a vigorous, rough and selfish lover, who took his pleasure without a thought to hers. That doesn't make him Gregor Clegane.

I think Jon Arryn was killed for another reason. I don't know how to do a spoiler thing so I won't say anything else.

I could list my favorites Jon, Tyrion and Arya, but I doubt they'll get a happy ending. Characters with a lot of POVs are unlikely to get a happy ending, because GRRM has more opportunities to cause trouble in their lives.

Jon Arryn wasn't killed by Jaime, nor did he kill the other two. And as I've said before in this thread, it isn't Jaime's actions alone that are to blame for everything. There are other far bigger players involved in the lead up to all those deaths and the War of the Five Kings.

He was with Cersei before joining the Kingsguard, in fact he joined the Kingsguard to be with Cersei. Sure it's a stupid act from someone who isn't that smart, but the important word is helped. If we're holding everyone accountable for all their mistakes then no one deserves a happy ending (besides children who have done nothing, for good or bad)

There's no avoiding the fact that what Cersei describes is effectively rape. You don't have to be Gregor Clegane to be a rapist.

If Jaime "kept his vows" there would be far less of a realm to save since they all would have been eviscerated by Aerys. People go to extreme lengths to attach deaths to his name. Jon Arryn and Robert's deaths are now at Jaime's feet as well?
Regardless, I'm rooting for Jaime, but he's far from the top of the list of who "deserves" a happy ending. He falls into the same pot as Tyrion and Sandor for me. I think there is very little chance he survives the series, but I'm optimistic he goes out protecting someone (Sansa, Brienne, Jon somehow).
Regarding who deserves a happy ending, the first few that come to mind:
Sansa, Myrcella/Tommen, Jon, Davos, Brienne, Sam, & Arya I suppose, though she's going to end up rather grey I believe by the time the series is done.

Jaime, but possibly just because I like him so much.
I feel bad for Bran and Tommen because I feel something bad and undeserved will happen to them...
