Looking for epic fantasy series

I read first series of Bakkar, dont even remember what happened at end of it, might not have finished it.
Disliked wayfarer redemption, great promise, but ending was complete fail. First lynch I liked, didn't care for 2nd.
I loved codex alera. And all of sandersons work. I think the new series will be best in fantasy.
Sorry for rambling incoherent post. Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by "epic"? Hobb is not really epic as it is commonly understood. Abercrombie is likewise not focused on the epicness. Same for Lynch. Somewhat for Sanderson.
You don't even remember the correct spelling of Bakker.
Considering this, I say you're fine picking one at random in the stickies. But what did catch you eye, already? For what reason?

Also maybe Sword of Truth. It is an epic fantasy but its heavy on sermonising and lessons about morals and truth, the first novel is brilliant though so even if you don't want to read the series the first book can be read as just one adventure, and a good ending in itself.

It took me three shots before The Dragonbone Chair clicked with me. I now consider Memory, Sorrow and Thorn to be my favourite Fantasy trilogy. So, yeah. Give it a second chance.
Also, every one of my earlier suggestions was 100% serious. They're all great books that fit the mould that the OP was looking for.

Same thing happened to me. I dont know what made me stick with it finally but I am extremely happy i did. It is my favorite completed series as well. At least pick it up at the library and give it a shot.
