My original user name Sir Rots came from when I used to play Games Workshops Mordheim game and had a Skaven war band. Had one furry little nutter in it called Rots which in a bizarre moment when I discovered the old board I decided to use as a handle, but added Sir on to be more "Knightly"
Daeric is the handle I generally tend to use whenever I can in a game and itself is a mutilation of Daedric which I picked up at the time from Morrowwind. I removed the D and that was it. I moved to using it on this board awhile back mostly so I could have uniformity among website names so all I would have to remember is the passwords instead of the full combination and which one I was using on what site.

First, I was ignorant of how to make my username (for login purposes) not be my display name. So today I changed my display name to one of the names that came from the anagram exercise, where I was able to get my whole family into House Myatt. Not that I was looking for Myatt in particular; I had to find an existing house name that would work alphabetically. So now my husband is working on designing a "spotted tree cat" sigil, starting with a lynx.

ETA So I guess being a hopeless romantic when picking a username 11 years ago got me a husband off the Internet and eventually two beautiful baby boys. Not bad, not bad at all.
I guess it's no surprise that I chose my name for the former WoT board either. It's my first initial in front of al'Thor. I created it back before the books began to totally suck and have been using it ever since.

There is a parody of the HBO series, GOT, on YouTube, and in the first episode for the second season, Petyr Baelish says, "For the night is dark and full of ninjas". I thought it was hilatious, and wanted to use that. Due to character limits, I had to shorten it and change it a bit

It's been a while since I've spoken any Mandarin, but I'd guess like "hway"? No clue about the intonation though...
My board name...from an AD&D campaign long long ago which then turned into a name that stuck around through various games.

In '98 when I joined Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise board, I used "Jaxom" because he was simply one of my favorite characters. Back then I used "27" to go along with a plot that was, in my head, an attempt to remember the birthday of my then gf. Afterwards, signing up for Yahoo, someone else apparently had "27" along with Jaxom already, so I simply went with my own birth year to help me remember. Poor memory and all, you know. So when I got to the Boards, it was easier to stick with what I'd been using...

Well, I live in Woodlynne, NJ (a tiny town smooshed between Camden and Collingswood, NJ) and I really relate to Brienne.
I'm not freakishly tall, but I'm a daddy's girl and a bit of a tomboy, with a strict code of honor. Oh and I often find myself in love with guys who are totally unavailable.
