Why is everyone so sure that Sir Robert Strong will win?  I've heard a lot of theories that the Faith's champion will be Sandor and that this fight is actually being built up to be Undead Gregor vs. Reborn Sandor, and seeing Sandor finish his brother off once and for all would be really awesome.  In any other book series, Sandor winning the final battle would be a given.  However, this is ASoIaF.

Well, if we work from the assumption that Undead Gregor Clegane is somewhat as formidable as he was in life, but now with the added benefit on being an undead monstrosity... how can he lose to his limping brother?

If she does run, then what's the difference between Cersei and Tyrion?

Answer:
One is a cunning runt, the other a running cunt.

That would be catastrophically epic. I've read the AFFC speculation a la Sandor and I would LIKE to believe it...

It seemed to me that GRRM was telling us that Cersei really was reborn, and had a religious experience up there, and might even become a decent person now.

I'm not certain being undead is indeed a benefit, could as well be a handicap. And FrankenGregor is a prototype, it's reasonable to expect some glitches. For example, all his skills may be lost.
I'm not saying this is the case, I'm saying this can be the case. Difficult to predict what exactly Qyburn has assembled and how good is its firmware.

I corrected your sentence for you.  Yeah, she will definitely use her new "image" to get in cozy with Faith-based individuals.  use the witnesses in the RK to her advantage and leverage King Tommen to keep herself afloat.

She has to be alive to see her future come true, unless it's Marg that takes everything from her.

Have we been told who will be picking Ser Robert's opponent for the trail by combat? Will it be the High Sparrow?

And now his hulking, menacing presence has been seen & felt, who’s going to agree to fight the monstrosity?

Totally agree with this.  And again, I think there's a very good chance he's going to be DQ'd by the judges no matter what.  The only question is whether or not the trial happens, if it does I'm sure Cersei is going down.

Isn't she something like the lady-protector for Tommen?

The Rock is hers now, after Jaime and Tyrion-the first has relinquished it, the second is stripped of all titles. If she were to marry a firstborn son and heir, then it passes to Mycella otherwise, she holds it till her death.
The appendices identify her as Lady of Casterly Rock and she has appointed Devan as Castellian.

...and pigs fly as we all know.

@ OP

Yes. Lannisters still have some loyalty in the West so she'll run there after she is proclaimed innocent through her trial by combat when Bob Strong brutally murders someone from the Faith (Lancel). She has no supporters in KL left apart from dr. Qyburnstein and he has no army. So yes she'll start runnin', probably taking Tommen with her. Then it's Tyrell time in KL.

She may put on a new mask, and use the FAITH as her powerbase.  Like a believer reborn kind of thing.  This will put Cersei+Faith Army vs. High Garden et al.  This might be the time she thinks about LF and the other people she needs.

Nah, the High Sparrow is too quick and has seen too much of her "sinfulness" and duplicity to back her. Besides, why empower Cersei when, ATM, he holds most of the cards and has nothing to gain?? I doubt Cersei will forgive him for his humiliation of her, so allying with Casterly Rock won't work. If anything, the HS seems like he'll end up standing closer to Highgarden.

:agree:
The only way i see Cersei regaining the power she had prior to the imprisonment/walk was if she somehow got rid of the High Septon. Its her fault for getting him in his position! No sympathy from me!

She definitely would have too much pride to just get up and run away. And while she isn't exactly parent of the year, she wouldn't take off on her remaining kids. Tommen in particular is like a power nestegg, and leaving him to the Tyrells would be a huge no no, abandoning too much satisfaction on them. If anything, she would rather destroy Tommen herself than any "enemies" have him.

But, it would kind of interesting. For one thing, I'd be curious of her journey and diabolical plans. For another, it would be kind of ironic: The previous Queen before her was forced to run from KL and hide, thanks to the Rebellion with the Lannister's help at the end.

Then again, there are already a lot of people on the run/living the life of igcognito already, so maybe adding Cersei to the mix might be overkill.
