Greetings!

Impatiently awaiting the next book in several series I wonder if there is any place/thread/link around here that gives an overview of current/upcoming release dates? Maybe an idea for a sticky?

(My guess is that  THE main question after reading any good series is: when does the next come out?)

I believe my favorites are rather mainstream in here, but still they are, in order:

1 Rothfuss: Kingkiller
2 GRRM: ASOIAF (Yeah, the last two were major upsets, and it'll probably take many years, but still, can't wait)
3 Sanderson: Stormlight Archives
4 Abercrombie: Red Country/anything
5 Stephenson et al.: Mongoliad
6 Cornwell: anything especially a'la Warlord trilogy

I list these  hoping that someone clever could see a pattern in these  titles and recommend me something highly appropriate to ease the pain of waiting ;-).

Also it would be interesting to hear which authors/series other learned forum members await with most eagerness, shall we say a ranked top 6?

appreciate any help :-)

This is the closest thread to what you're looking for, but it's not really organized all that well.

Yeah that thread would be perfect for your needs, and I agree it would be a useful and deserved sticky thread.

To briefly go into your listings:

1. Rothfuss: Kingkiller- Not before 2014 in a best case scenario.
2 GRRM: ASOIAF- Not before 2015 in a best case scenario.
3 Sanderson: Stormlight Archives- Next book in 2013 I believe.
4 Abercrombie: Red Country has a US release date of November 2012, October in UK.
5 Stephenson et al.: Mongoliad- Book two of that series comes out in the Fall of this year.
6 Cornwell: Haven't checked, but he has just released the 5th novel in his Uthred series.

Rothfuss said the good thing about his series was it was all basically done so we could expect a book every year or so.  Why would doors of stone be 2014 best case scenario?

Yeah how many years where there between NotW and TWMF? 5 or 6 at least right? Too lazy too look it up even though I'm sitting at the PC.
Hell, I'd bet good money Winds of Winter comes out first....

If you check Cornwell's website he updates the reader questions sectionw eekly and someone is always asking him about his next project.

I'm not sure why anyone is worried, seeing as Dagger and Coin will be produced on an annual schedule. You know, those books that are some of the best epic fantasy out right now?

Thank you for answers and the threadlink; quite massive! Yet it should be sticky, and perhaps the many similar recommendation stickys could somehow be joined together.
Still interested in other most eagerly anticipated release rankings :-)

And yes thank you Calibandar, i have read Cornwells Death of Kings.

i thought this thread was going to be a PSA that hosted warnings for boarders who had completed their prison sentences and were now again at large.

3 years and 10 months (May 2007 - March 2011). The controversy wasn't because it was an excessive amount of time (like GRRM and Lynch) but because he said the books would come out annually - it was a major selling point when the first book came out and lots of people bought it on the grounds they didn't want to be waiting years between volumes - and then they didn't.
