What do the people of this board think about abortion? Do you believe it is a woman's right? Do you think it's wrong? Would you ban or allow it if you could? Please state your position and your reasoning for that position.

I believe it should be compulsory. Then I could afford an Aston Martin.

If it is then this thread should be aborted. What do you think of that

The OP has one thread about the ickiness of homosexuals and now one on abortion. Can a thread about the right to secession or the cowardliness of the French be far behind?

A further movement by the Daily Mail into social media or the return of ByTor? You decide.

PS Alternatively, no this isn't a joke. I really would like an Aston Martin.

My guess would be that the OP is kind of young and is trying to form opinions on some hot topic issues - apologies if that sounds patronising.

Wow, is there a concerted effort to make sure TP doesn't get to enjoy Diablo III? What did he ever do to you?

I didn't quite think about it like that, but I guess that's accurate. No offense taken. But I am genuinely curious about this board's frequenters' opinions on the subject, because the average poster here is well above average in intelligence.

Technically, green beans are plant abortions...

Abortions are delicious with butter.

Nah, you should start threads. Just with topics like this it's hard to get a genuine answer because the expectation is an inevitable flame war.

To answer your question as succinctly as possible, I'm going with "safe, legal, and rare".

ROTFLMAO!!!!  There is a slogan I found in the way-back machine. If men gave birth, abortion would be a sacrament.  Seriously, just like the one who passes sentence should be the one to swing the sword; the one who gets pregnant should be the one to decide.  It isn't the government's decision or some church's decision.

I probably won't be starting any threads again, don't worry.

Don't sulk, you're allowed to post this, just as people are allowed to ignore it or post their dislike of it.

If you are being rational, you'd have to concede that entering a close community with opening gambits on gay marriage and abortion is kind of risky ;)

What's life without a little risk? And I'm not sulking, I'm just stating a fact. I'm not going to post more because the things I'm interested in don't match up with what people here are willing to talk about.

I don 't see how this is a less valid discussion topic for General discussion message board than 'Best Sandwiches'.  Potential train-wreck?  Absolutely!  But so what?  Its the god damn internet - no loss of life and limb over it.

I know we've had plenty of abortion-related discussions in the past and while I personally have no desire to discuss the topic at hand - I see no reason to discourage new people from using this board as a place to discuss the topic.  If you don't want to engage then don't.  We look like a bunch of dicks right now, imo.

A recent study showed that Big Abortion accounted for over 10 billion dollars in national GDP.  IOW Abortions are good for the economy.  We need more abortions, more often, if we want to make this country great again.

I guess I deserve it a little because of my idiotic and uneducated initial views in my other thread, S John.
