Ifan Meredith is actually a pretty damn good actor, and has that Edmure look. I even think he looks a lot like he could be Catelyn's brother... while pulling off the wimpy Lord look perfectly.

He also has a little Robb Stark look to him... which makes totally helps. NOt only that but he has a different look, which would kind of help establish the "look" of House Tully... If you stood him with Lysa and Cat he would fit in pretty flawlessly.

Too serious, too grim, too stern... Edmure is more sociable.

Edmure is a little bit like Renly IMO, someone always smiling, chatting and joking with his men, spending time with them... we need a more smiling actor for him.

Eh, that's a headshot. Certainly doesn't mean he can't play someone that is more sociable. You are reading WAY too much into a single headshot. Unless you've seen him act, in which case I withdraw my comment.

Thats strange, I remember Edmure in a constant state of angst/ misery.

I've seen him in Metroland, and I liked him in it, but I really cant associate Edmure to him...

Well, what struck me most about Edmure is his will to shelter all his men in Riverrun, despite the siege coming and the lack of food, and I gather he was a really popular lord-in-coming, so from that I guess he was the Renly-like dude... but, yeah, it is true he was also quite sad and angry a lot of times...

Yea, and he was always portaryed as kind of a bad leader... Like wanting to hole evryone up in Riverrun despite the lack of food.

Maybe when he was on Buffy, but Head is almost 60 now and too old to play Cat's little brother.

He is secondary character it wouldnt make any difference.
Anyway, they changed ages in the show for all the characters.
