For Winds, given the title, I'm thinking a snow white cover with some sort of nothern symbol (weirwood, horn of winter, wolf) would be appopriate. A blue rose would be cool.

I like the US covers from before the show came out- gold for the first book, then purple, blue, and red covers. They had a nice simplicity to them and the colors looked regal and had heraldic type symbols on them. The painted covers were interesting too. I would have liked to see more of that artist's depictions of scenes from the series. The ADWD cover is pretty bland to me and is my least favorite.
