Will Daenarys be reunited with her dragons?  Will the dragons experience a miraculous growth spurt?  Everyone is expecting for the show to close with the three horns (which would be cool), but what if the show closes with young adult dragons?

And I wonder, when they do grow quite large, how will the show portray them moving about with Dany?  I mean, she can't be walking around with 3 creatures the size of Shetland ponies on her shoulders!  (Shetland ponies with serious claws, yet!)  :P

I think they just might make a theme of it and end every season with Dany and the Dragons, it ends the season on a hopeful note.  I think the Dragons will grow in HoTU, something spectacular related to the Dragons has to happen, right?

It would be awesome if they switched each season ender from ice to fire.

Season 1 - the birth of the dragons
Season 2 - the attack of the Fist
Season 3 - Dracarys?
Season 4 - Stannis at the Wall?

I’ve heard this same conjecture often enough, but I don’t  see any foreshadowing evidence for it. Do you?

It would certainly help for the overall series’ progression, though.

Only indirectly related to the topic at hand, but has anyone thought about what ending series 3 with dracarys for Dany means? It's fairly early in ASOS (although a great place to leave off imo). I think this will have to lead to lengthening her story either at her arrival at Meereen or on the high seas, neither of which I'm too excited about to be frank.

I mean, they can prolong the Jorah-sexual tension on the boat a bit before his eventual departure much later on, they may also have more dragon scenes b/c less CGI is necessary next series as well. Either way, they'll have to add drama and extra plot and we all know how unpopular that ended up like with this whole Qarth arc.

A bit more related, is it possible that she may not exactly leave Meereen yet in order to prolong her story next series? Assuming she's going to meet Barristan (almost certain from Alfie's interview), then she'll either leave straightaway or stay a bit.

-Everyone assumes she'll leave and this makes sense for budget and getting rid of sets and shooting locations, also they'll want some closure for the Qarth arc, make it seem like it's done and she's heading off to new places etc like in series 1, this makes the most sense, really.

-OR, she could be ready to leave and all that w/ Barristan but maybe she'll want to have revenge on XXD for helping steal her dragons or whatever so she'll stay for a bit. Doesn't make too much sense at first, but if they're going to extend her plot at all, doesn't it make sense to continue with this already established one? They could want to showcase her vengeful side as well as her protection of her dragons. This seems a bit weak imo but is it a better alternative to some forced drama made up in series 3 onboard the ships? Or her spending 5 episodes next series just going back and forth on whether or not to buy the unsullied who kill puppies?

Or are we pretty much all in agreement that she will leave Qarth this Sunday?

ETA: added link, typos.

I think she (with Doreah's help in bringing Drogon to her) will burn down the HOTU, come out of there with all 3 of her children, then order... somebody, Jorah?  Whoever's left of her khalasar?  Drogon? ,  to kill XXD.  She'll take his key, open the vault, find whatever is or isn't there and finish by telling Jorah 'See to the boat, we're leaving!'

I foresee all of this being accomplished in a very forceful, powerful way.  She's been weak and whiny the last few episodes, needs to display some of that Targaryen fire.
Spoiler

How and where Ser Barristan fits into all of this, I'm not sure.  Maybe he'll be the one to kill XXD, thereby saving Dany's life.

PS:  Is it Sunday yet???  I want my dragons!!

Since they already have a ship built for this season’s sets, one which they’ve reused many times, they might use it for Dany’s departure, too.

I do think that Ser Barristan needs to save Dany’s life, the way he did when he dashed the manticore from her hand in the book, I don’t see how Zarro would become a threat to her life needing impulsive bashing over the head with a wooden staff.

Isn't Daario being moved up.  A lot of people think they are going to merge some of the cities Dany visits, both of which would beef up her storyline.

Oh dear, after reading Alfie's interview, I hope that person is Barristan and not a vision of Khal Drogo a la Star Wars -.-

Why would you say that? Right now it seems like there’s no way to know one way or the other.  He first appears in Yunkai, which is one city past Astapor in Dany’s odyssey.

A similar notion floated (and, I think, sunk) would be of some saved footage of Ned.

She did see dead people in the House of the Undying, and crafted others of her own devising (and Drogon’s), but I cannot see why she would see dead characters from the first season.

To make fans of the show happy? :P There are so many people that keep saying "bring Ned and Drogo back!", even in different roles in the show. Let's hope they will show something useful (and not like how Daenerys braided Drogo's hair, making her all teary and all that >_>)

Pyat Pree: "The mother of dragons will be with her babies. She will give them her love and they will thrive by her side. Forever."

I don't know about anyone else, but this suggests to me that the Undying only want her to come to them so they can make the dragons grow larger.

I realize the quote from the Alfie interview is probably referring to Barristan Selmy, but I can't help but hope that it turns out to be a HotU vision of the "promise me" scene of Ned in the Tower of Joy with Lyanna.

To be honest, I'd prefer if it was referring to Barristan... it is more important for the immediate plot... and from a TV perspective, too.

Jon Snow's parentage is less important so far for the TV show (as it is for the books, for the moments)... so I'd prefer if it was Barristan.

I'm not familiar with the books, so I sometimes (and shamefully) resort to visiting Wikipedia to look up certain book references. I just Googled what "three blasts" meant and I got chills. CHILLS. :o

I'm so ridiculously excited and nervous for this finale. I've got a severe case of the shakes right now.

It seems like we really haven't seen much of the dragons, they must do something, surely Drogon will at least blast the HoTU

What we’ve so far seen of him hasn’t been much more than those long lighters you use to light a gas grill with.  Hard to imagine that little bit of flame torching the entire warlocks’ den.
