A descendant of Aerion Targaryen.

His son was in line to be king, but they passed over him since he was in exile, so maybe his line took up with the Blackfyres. Basically, I haven't found a theory I like yet, and since Septa Lemore was referred to as Lady Lemore, why not some noble descendant of a Targaryen.

What about the whore Ros? The girl mentioned in AGOT? Remember, maybe season 2 spoiled some things in later books. Varys has a conversation with Ros in the season 2 finale about using her for future employment?

Ros isn't in the books.  In AGoT, there is mention of a red haired whore, but nothing else.

Tyene's mother is plausible; I like the idea of Doran's spy in Varys' camp. However, my heart still says Ashara. The mysterious circumstances of her "death", that characters have been mentioning her since GoT and still reflecting on her in ADwD ... I refuse to believe that we're done with her

Ashara Dayne, definitely. Right age, dark hair, we don't know her eye colour (though in this series most characters are immediately described with an eye colour), nice symmetry (Jon Connington was Rhaegar's BFF, Ashara was Elia's BFF, they're raising Rhaegar and Elia's "child" together), and so on.

In fact, i'm quite surprised that you were the only one to support that theory. The evidences on Lemore being kin with Jon Arryn are in any case incidental and weak, but i rate this theory at least as incidental and weak as the widely accepted theories on Ashara or Tyene's mother. We know only what Littelfinger told Sansa on Harry. I guess she went on with the sisters, but somehow managed to escape to rejoin his lover, a sellsword... and we all know where most sellword ends: at the other side of the narrow sea. Maybe it's a bit of a crazy theory, but i don't discard Lemore being Alys and Elys daughter, and Aegon being Lemore's son and thus, the true heir to the Valley.

The problem is that one woman became a septa... but she was scarred by the pox, which Lemore obviously is not. As to the other? We're told she became a silent sister. They aren't septas, and they have vows of silence.

So... if you want to go with this, either Littlefinger is mistaken about what became of her, or she decided to break her vows, claim to be a septa, and took off.

That said, so far a I can tell, this unnamed niece of Jon Arryn is the first example of a noble woman connected to the Faith known to have had a child that anyone's pointed out. And, notably, we never learn her name. One of the sticking points for me in any of these theories about Lemore being Ashara or someone else is that, well, Griff calls her Lady Lemore in his own thoughts. It's her actual name, near as I can tell, not some sort of cover. So, this does leave open the possibility that this daughter of Elys Waynwood and Alys Arryn was in fact named Lemore... Very interesting to ponder, at least.

I think definitely tyene's mother, just because it is more GRRM's style to make these little coincidences happen rather than way too many secret character twists.  He did the same thing with Mya Stone
