The Labyrinth has both Jessica Brown Findlay and Katie Mcgrath playing medieval characters so we can see who fits better.

Here is the trailer!

So here are the actresses who has been suggested so far:
My personal favourite:
  • Katie Mcgrath - (Merlin) Katie looks just like Maisie Williams in this picture.

Bridget Regan
please excuse my off-topic comment, but she's so hot! (and since Lyana was "a beautiful lady" too, she would be perfect for that role!)

You forgot Anna Kendrick.  I suggested her mainly because she's gorgeous.

Keira Knightley as I see Lyanna Stark as similar to Elizabeth Swann in PotC. Noble but rebelious.
Just NO!

Most of the first posts(at least the posts in this thread I have read) are very bad choices for her. For one they don't look like a Stark woman, two, they don't look young enough.

Sarah Bolger is my choice for now.

Yeah, but I don't think actresses in their thirties (Liv Tyler???) are suitable. From 18 to 25-26 IMHO are better suited.

For the people saying Bridget is too old -- or anyone is too old, for that matter -- please remember that the show historically ages everyone up, from the child characters to the adults. Sean Bean is 53 and Michelle Fairley is around 50. Bridget Regan is 30. Kit Harington is 26, but we'll assume he plays younger on the show...18-20. That puts Robert's Rebellion at about 20 years in the past. I think an actress, aged 25-30 would be fine.

Agreed.

Natalie Dormer is 30, and will be 31 in February.
I know Marge isn't as young as Lyanna was, but she's still 31 playing a sixteen-year old.

Robert's Rebellion is 17 years before the main events of the show. Kit Harrington and Richard Madden might be on their mid twenties, but their characters are 17 years old in the beggining of the first season. Most characters were aged up only by 3 years in the show. Ned is still supposed to be on his late thirties, but remember this is a medieval setting. In our medieval times, people on their late thirties looked old, kinda like the fifties of nowadays. I suppose the same rule applies to Martin's medieval world.

That's fine, but I guess my overall point is that, if we're using actors' real ages to determine whether they're "too old" to play a character, you still have to adhere to the breakdown. Because, if we're to believe a 26 y/o Kit can play a 17 y/o and a 53 y/o Sean Bean can play late 30s, then there's no reason to feel that a 30 y/o actress can't also play a character who is 20ish.

I'm going to throw Jaimie Alexander into the fray -- she's Lady Sif in Thor.

I agree. Bridget Regan is an extraordinary actress, she has blue eyes, and she seems like the Starks have to seem. To me, she is perfect for the role. Even Craig Horner, who played Richard Cypher in Lots (Bridget's love), could be a great Brandon Stark.

Don't think I've seen her suggested yet but I think Kaya Scodelario would be perfect. She is 20, has the Stark colouring, is very attractive but but also has a lot of character in her features (not really a classic beauty per say) and actually looks quite similar to Maisie Williams which is ideal since Arya is supposed to resemble Lyana.
