1.  Varys and Littlefinger are actually working together.

2.  Robb Stark was given a love potion and thats why he fell for Jeyne Westerling.

3.  The Nissa Nissa in this version of the Azor Ahai tale is either Westeros or the person themselves.  And I think AA is either Dany or Stannis.  One of them will end up killing themselves and destroying a chunk of Westeros in the process.

3a.  Westeros will experience a cataclysmic event like Hardhomme or Valyria, only this will occur near the Neck/Riverlands (Isle of Faces?).  This will separate Westeros into two halves and kill Dany or Stannis in the process.  And hopefully lots and lots of Freys.

Viserys is actually alive and will reappear in Westeros to take his crown. In the midst of this he will kill Cersei, therefore fulfilling the younger brother part of her prophecy.

Melisandra is working with the White Walkers. Basically she is using Stannis to kill as much people as possible and create chaos so that the WW can simply walk past the wall and kill to their hearts desires.

The Stallion that Mounts the World is... *drumroll*... The Pale Mare! :o Of course there is a gender problem in the name here, but ehh, prophecies are weird and faulty translations happen. Dany could accidentally bring it to Westeros and it would help her conquer the Seven Kingdoms. Naturally people would blame her for the outbreak, so she would kind of be its mother. It could be a very powerful Khal(eesi) and wipe away similar numbers as the black plague did in Europe. :D?

... Well that was unexpected, lawl. Just as I was mourning that I had nothing to contribute to this thread because I'm too dumb to come up with theories or even understand half of the subtleties of the books (a couple of re-reads should fix that, though). Then this happened, uninvited. Pretty crackpot, yeah, and full of holes.

I'll start with my favorite theory:
The three heads of the dragon are 3 children of Rhaegar's from 3 different women:
1: R + L = J
2: R + Ellia = Aegon (still alive)
3: R + Joanna = Tyrion:
To further explain, Joanna caught Tywin with a whore (reaso he is publically anti-whore is he cannot resist them) to get back at him she seduced Rhaegar, the young stud, contributing to his meloncholly persona.  Making Tyrion his oldest child from his first sexual experience.

Since everyone was talking about Sir Robert Strongs head, I believe it is certainly Penny's dwarf brothers head, which was sent to Cersei, and disposed of by Qyburn.

I appologize for my spelling

My most crackpot theory:  there is no Prince that was Promised.  There is no Stallion.  Azor will never be reborn.  All those prophesies will turn out to be false, or worse, the Prince that was Promised was actually Dany's stillborn child killed by magic or the real Aegon Targaryen who was killed by Gregor Clagane.  And without those magical forces to save Westeros, humanity will have to make do with what little is has.

Varys isn't human.  He's a spider demon of some kind.  He's the real final boss.  The Others and the dragons are merely the forces of nature that he's manipulating into conflict, the Song of Ice and Fire, for him to ascend to ultimate power and devour the world.

One more:  Ser Pounce will have a POV.

A real crazy theory I have regards when the wall comes down.  The Others will reek havoc on Westeros and be able to control all the dead that are littered throughout the continent.  Allowing them to reanimate Rob Stark fully equipped with the head of Greywind.  Now that is a badass warrior.

Can you please write Winds of Winter instead of George R. R. Martin now?  This is the book I wanted.

okay, so I can't remember all the dialogue exactly but has anyone ever heard the legend of Bael the Bard from anyone except Mance or someone who heard it from Mance and so on..
If not then Bael the Bard could be Rhaegar and somehow Mance knows about it and created the song but distorted the story slightly to make it fit.

The Martinverse is actually just another world encased in a snowglobe.
At the end Martin himself will appear in the text, give the globe a good shake, and then-voila! Long Night!

Actually, this explains the Doom too. Martin just shook that globe too hard.

That the first Faceless Man was a Targaryen, giving the "gift" to slaves to ease their suffering. The Faceless Men have been attributed to the cause of the Doom.

The lives lost in the mines = blood sacrifices
The mines themselves/ Fourteen Fires = fire
The Doom = FIRE AND BLOOD (fire of volcanic activity and the blood of the sacrificed slaves) --> adopted House Targaryen motto

Edit:  An attempt at trying to elaborate on this insane theory, here:  #115

I know this is pretty crazy but I have this theory that Lyanna died while giving birth to Jon Snow. I think that Rhaegar and Lyanna were secretly in love and Jon is their child. That is the big secret Ned had to keep!

The Wall was built by the Others. There are still Others living inside the Wall and waiting for someone to bring it down (maybe the Others living further north have the Horn of Joramun or something similar).

Westeros and Essos were once one continent before it was separated by the sea. It was ruled by a city state that was located where the Narrow Sea lies today. Once it was destroyed by the water and maybe some event similar to the Doom other nations such as Valyria rose to power and all the evidence of this ancient civilization was destroyed. I believe that there is still something hidden in the ruins under the Narrow Sea, and maybe Patchface had a contact with it.

I think it's a completely plausible scenario given the hints and clues. Like I said, I know it's pretty far fetched and I know nobody else has ever given this another thought but I think I might be onto something...

So male Targa are sane, female Targs are crazy. Nice werk!!! In all seriousness, Dany is actually the very definition of that coin analogy: she toes the line between greatness and madness.

Even a cursory reading of Targ history should show that it's usually the men who go nuts while the women are generally sane. If anything, the family is actually due for a nutty female.

I think the theory that Lyanna is Jon's mother is incredibly farfetched, but I suppose it's at least more plausible than the crackpot of your avatar, RenlyWasNotGay.
