In the name of all that is holy (or unholy) why, WHY did you bury the lead, as it were, of the story?

Is this some kind of game you're playing with us Interwebz peoples?

:box:

This is not information I was privy to until my roommate brought it up this morning.  Now apparently former-houseguest and her mother do not get along, hence her waiting until they left for Europe before going home.  However considering the quality of information I have been receiving about this situation, I suspect that "do not get along" means they differ in their preference of color for the polo ponies and not that they have long, loud screaming matches over serious personal issues.

Feel no pity for her, none at all.  Apparently her parents have gone on their yearly "cruise around southern Europe for a couple months" trip (that's right, it was a fucking 1 percenter eating my cheese; this is an allegory, I just know it) and she's gone to go stay at their place while their gone. I don't know the plan after that, but it does not involve my place.

OK, now I am really curious - this housemate of yours, what kind of hands-on benefit did he (or she) get from his (or her) friend?

I absolutely refuse to believe someone could invite that creature in AND actively deflect trouble on her behalf, without at least receiving some regular head out of it. No one is that dumb.

ETA: I will also accept that your housemate is actually a Paraguayan illegal alien shipped in by yacht by the moocher, and was placed out as a cheese-eating enabler in your household.

If there was some sort of the under the table benefits being received, I feel like I would've known about it; considering both were sleeping in the living room.  And while I can't speak for former-guest, I know that my housemate isn't a lesbian.

This thread is addictive. It could make a cheap movie manuscript. In a movie you, the male housemate by force would of course realize how much you miss the poor rich cheese-stealing slob and go to her house and ask her out... :leaving:
I don't want this thread to end, the interwebz demand more! :)

I now feel sorry for the house guest for having to make do with inferior cheese products. Next time, stock some Roquefort and water biscuits.

Fez, just make sure that your roommate understands that the friend is NOT welcome when her parents return and she fights with her mother.

This thread makes a lot more sense now that I've seen this video that Fez made back when he was a kid.

Best thread ever. This story involves interpersonal conflict, rich people 'harshly' disadvantaged by the economic apocalypse and shit in bags. Seriously, the unexpected lesbian angle emerging on this last page is all you need to sell the rights to the story to HBO.

only chicago, paris, london, new york, and hong kong have transit systems that run 24 hours a day. and that is really cool.
I just have to mention that Paris transit system is not 24h. Metro closes at 1am and opens at 5. You want to go home after partying a bit, either you party hard and come back in the morning, or you take a taxi. Sadly. (and yes, it's below mediocre)

Just read up on the 24 hour transit portion of this thread that seems to have many different themes now, Toronto, Canada also has 24 hour Transit. We have several bus and streetcar routes that run 24 hours a day, granted once the transit turns to Blue Night service as it is known here you wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and half depending on the specific route. There are large areas of the city especially once your outside the downtown core that unfortunately don't have Blue Night service, but you can get to almost any major section of the city with it.

We also have a shit load of Taxi's that makes up for some of the shortcoming of the Blue Night service, that is if you can afford it.

We can have some sexposition by spicing up the time when a conversation I was having with my housemate kept being interrupted by the sound of my other housemate whose actually around being loudly double-teamed.

Yes. It's been an interesting time living here.

I think I'm gonna take up a collection and send the proceeds to Fez so he can move out of that shit hole.

On second thought, maybe not.  His adventures are more interesting than the TV show "Girls."

There are also special bus lines going all night. Obviously they are far fewer and spread out than daily service, it will probably take you all night to get home, and they are not the safest, but theoretically it's a 24h system.
And even though it's mediocre it's still way better than what is available everywhere else in France (especially evening service).
