I must of reread those couple of pages 40 times. To have Jon exact the revenge in a manner well within his right as Lord Commander was just epic. And utterly idiotic on Slynt's part. I couldn't get enough of Stannis's nod of approval either.

I believe that this is the part in ADWD when Sam hits Dareon.

That didn't happen in ADWD. Are you sure it wasn't AFFC?
