If there could be a book or books that GRRM could write about (aside from Dunk and Egg) which time period would you want to see covered, and which character would you like to know more about?

For me it would be a book about the War of the Nine penny Kings to see the Kingsguards, specifically Selmy and Dayne, in action.

For characters would be Brandon Stark.

War of the Ninepenny Kings, the rise of Tywin and the destruction of the Reynes and Tarbecks, and the truth of the Night's King. Also, more on Bittersteel, Bloodraven and Shiera Seastar.

Some things are best left to the imagination, so I choose none.

I would love to see Robert's Rebellion and see how badass Brandon Stark was and a prime Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark in wartime. Aegons Conquest would be pretty sweet too. I would rather see the battle at the Tower of Joy and Ned and Howland vs Ser Arthur Dayne though.

Excluding the Tower of Joy and the War of the Ninepenny Kings ( which have already been mentioned ), I'd really like to know more about The Dance of the Dragons. It seems like a very interesting period.

1. More about FM history and doom of Valyria

2. Those ancient times, when there was only first men and COTF, and about the long night.. Though we probably will learn more about those times in the next books.

3.R/L story and the happenings at that time

For characters, definitely Bloodraven. He is an awesome character, a sorcerer and a greenseer, and knows  a lot from years of greenseeing. I also wanna know what the hell he did to Dark Sister, and why the hell did Maekar put him in the dungeons...

It's not really a prequel, more of a parallel-quel, but I'd love a BWB series. Before Stoneheart, naturally.

Maybe a movie (trilogy!) can be made about RR and then follow it up with some Greyjoy Rebellion action. GRRM has way to much on his plate though. It's called urgency George,  I will be Maestor Aemons age by the time TWOW and ADOS are finished.

Tough call, knowing more about the Doom of Valyria, the Long Night or Aegon's Conquest could be brilliant or it could be overkill and ruin the backstory. The Dance of the Dragons definitely seems like something that's better in the backstory than knowing every detail to me. I know Robert's Rebellion has a great story at the heart of it so I'm going with that.

The whole Tourney at Harrenhall (including the Knight of the Laughing Tree), the aftermath, Robert's Rebellion, the battle at the Trident, the Tower of Joy, and the Sack of King's Landing.
Maybe that should be covered in two books.

Valyria's Doom seems quite interesting too, however.

Even though Robert's Rebellion would be kind of interesting, mainly just to see the POVs of characters like Lyanna, Rhaegar, Robert, Brandon, the Mad King, etc., I'd still rather have something that we know much less about. We already know all the important details of that story, how it ends, who lives and dies, so on and so forth. I'd rather see things from the very distant past, like the First Men coming to Westeros and fighting with the Children and Giants, the Andal invasion, the Long Night...all that stuff is much more interesting to me.

I agree with this. I really like to see more of Tywin and the rise of House Lannister.
