So, what are your favorite theme songs for television shows?  Here are mine:

1.  Reallllyyy close between The Sopranos and Game of Thrones.  I'll go with The Sopranos.

The rest in no particular order:

Sopranos is great,  I actually watch the opening each time I watch an episode, where as I tend to just fast forward through it for any other show.

Me too I look forward to it so much every time.  You know how the HBO sound thingy comes up before the theme song?  I always expect to hear The Sopranos after it....even after seeing almost every HBO show there is.

I also really like Community but part of that is how they do different versions of it. (Law and Order, LOTR, 8-bit) for specific episodes

for older stuff, I always loved Coach

For all the (valid) criticisms directed at it, Voyager has probably the best theme tune of all the Star Trek shows (although DS9 is also good).

Basically the 80's was the greatest time for tv theme songs.  Anyone who says differently is insane.

Is there a thread for worst theme songs because Smallville's "Save Me" has got to be one of the worst tv theme songs and just plain annoying songs I heard ever in my life.

There are a bunch i could name i mean the Game of Thrones theme is great but if i must choose my all time favourite, it has to be Firefly hands down.

It seems Nathan Fillion and the writers of Castle slip in quite a bit of Firefly references, Like This and This.
