Has no one mentioned this?

Best theme song ever.

Sorry if Muppet Show has already been mentioned, but I didn't see it in my skim through. LOVE that song, at the end of a really crappy day at work or when I was really excited about going out somewhere that song automatically starts playing in my head. :)

I love the song but for all the things I remember The Muppet Show for and the song with the muppets coming out on stage beneath the lighted arches is something I always, always, think of when I think of The Muppet Show...everything about that show, each and every episode was just so good from Scooter's "Fifteen Second To Curtain," (Pops' greeting in Season 5) to Gonzo's horn (gong in season 1) and all the songs in the show, the theme song has always been the baseline of the show the most exciting thing about it being it was the beginning of The Muppet Show

Also while I will always consider TMS one of the best television series ever and light years past Seseme Street, I've always liked Seseme Street's theme song better.

ETA:
Gonzo with the gong made me remember, Mickey Mouse Club is also great!

AAAAAAGGGGH! I can't believe I forgot the Muppets! I'm so ashamed.

I also forgot about Greatest American Hero - doubly shaming because of my namesake's rendition.

Cowboy Bebop deserves mention, too. I loved the music to Lupin III long before I ever knew where it came from.

Listening to that I'm immediately transported to Saturday morning, being in my pj's, sitting/lying on the family room floor with the green shag carpeting, in front of the 25" Zenith floor model and surrounded by the leaky bean bag chair/pillow, box of Friuty Pebbles, gallon jug of milk, bowl & spoon, and my dog looking for a tummy rub.

Does anyone find the theme song to Mr. Ed ridiculously witty and absurd?  I am being totally serious.   I've never even seen Mr Ed, but I like the song.  Is the show any good?

I sang along with the Sopranos one, and my mom does with the Sons of Anarchy one (yeah, I tend to watch series with my mom, including Game of Thrones...). Guess they are my favorite intros, and basically the only ones I never skip (apart from Game of Thrones).

Um, are you imbibing anything simultaneously with listening?

Just wondering.  ;)

Suits and even though I don't like the show, the song for Smallville is great.

Oh and I almost forgot Mad Men.
