I wouldn't say so. Apocalyptic to me implies a violent razing or disruption whereas the whole point of dying earth is a long slow wasting, it seems to me.
But I'd recommend reading New Sun anyway.

I'm not a dick head.  I just don't like Warhammer.  That does not make me a dick head.  The difference between he and I, is that I can take a fucking joke.  

I've been bashing Tie-In's (especially D&D) long before LoTN joined the board.  The LOTN tag at the bottom is just my attempt to add the the confusion made between his taking of the tag and another member of the board.

Look, I'm not saying that you can't disagree with him or other people about the quality of Warhammer books when it comes up and I don't mind a bit of banter but it had clearly gotten to the point were it was genuinely bothering him and at that stage it's really not friendly banter anymore. I just don't think we want this to be the kind of place were people feel like they are being put upon just because they're fans (maybe fans that get a bit over invested) of one thing or another.

So he whines, and he wins?  That's how we want this place to be?  The squeaky wheel get's the grease so to speak.  FIne, my libertarian values are insulted on just about every political thread on the board.  My literarily values are fucking disgusted by Lotn Warhammer threads.  Should we just stop speaking to one another?  I made a joke towards Grack.  Lotn wasn't even in this tread.  He came in here and started his whinging shit.  I fail to see how i even fucked that up.

If you want criticise someone's opinions on specific subjects I really don't give a shit but for fucks sake you don't need to be picking on individuals at every fucking opportunity in completely unrelated threads. It's just fucking unpleasant. If you're ok with that that's up to you, personally I don't think it says good things about you as a person.

That's not what i'm saying at all.  I make a point of being as nice as i can on the /nice/ threads.  I usually try to make a point of being cool on these rec threads.  I just make fun of /ONE/ thing.  Tie In novels.  That's it (and when people bash the USoffuckingA).  I'm super supportive in the EandF threads, the advice threads, the political threads.  I just really don't like tie ins.  Lotn really does.  

Again, the funny thing is, i was being a 'dickhead' to Grack, not Lotn.  He seems to be alright with it.
