I was gonna say, I got my ASOIAF start after watching the first season of GoT, I hope that doesn't makes me a big dumb.

You're welcome to join the club then. Before the TV series came out I had never heard of the books, I only started to read them last year.

You definitely aren't alone in that. I saw the first episode, and still didn't realise it was a series until I saw it in the book shop :P Considering how well received it is, and that it was first published in 1996, I was amazed I hadn't heard about it before. English was always my favourite subject in school, continued it on into college, and still nothing. I read a lot of fantasy stuff, Tolkien, Pullman, Garth Nix, Jonathan Stroud etc etc and still didn't hear about it. Maybe it was only really a big thing in the states until the show hit.

New paperback copies will be sold at the bookstore,as part of the ticket,so I suspect we'll get a new chapter.

Wait, are these paperback copies of ADWD, if so what was the sample chapter inside? I thought that the paperback version was released August 28th.

^ At this point,I have no idea, just found it on Twitter. It seems like a disinformation, considering people who went there said nothing on the matter.

First copies from UK some time before 17th,so soon we'll have a new chapter.
