Thanks to multiple reports around the web from George R.R. Martin’s reading and Q&A at Town Hall Seattle, we now know that Martin confirmed what we’ve speculated : Morocco will serve as the location for Daenerys Targaryen’s storyline in the new season, the region of Essos known as Slaver’s Bay. Some have rather hopefully thought it would mean we’d see Dorne in season 3… and while Morocco may doubtless serve as the location for scenes set in Dorne in some future season, it certainly seems that that’s not the plan this year. So Dorne fans will just have to wait.

Didn't expect them to introduce Dorne already in season 3, way to early.

Right. Dorne shouldn't actually appear as a location until season 5, I think.

Dorne should be in the Australian Outback

True but they might start introducing it at 4. Imo either dorne or the rest of the ironborn, Victarion, Euron etc,  will have to be introduced in season 4 or else there will be too much for season 5.

They are slowing things down. Seasons 5 and 6 will probably and likely be the final seasons along with DWD and AFFC weaved in and out.

Some of AFFC and DWD will be in the latter part of season 4. But we are getting ahead of ourselves .. let's just enjoy it while it lasts.

I feel like the end of season 4 will contain parts from books 4and5, and season 5, and maybe 6 will finish everything up

I thought we might get a scene or two in Dorne introducing Oberyn, but you could in theory shoot it at one of the Kings Landing sets and just paint out the scenery.

Liam Cunningham has recently signed on for another 6 seasons (don't know if that includes season 3.) so it would seem the plan (whether it comes to fruition or not) is to go for at least 8 seasons.

That's not how it works. Standard contracts are more like having an option on an actor for a set amount of time -- in this case, six seasons, they get first dibs.

It's a fairly boilerplate thing and does not imply that an actor will definitely be around for six seasons, or that the show will defintely be around for six seasons.
