Our first look in motion at the new Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms MMO from Bigpoint, which we’ve reported on recently, has come to us by way of the Huffington Post. See the trailer below:According to HuffPo, the free-to-play, browser-based game’s set for a 2013 release, will eventually include options for varying sizes of player characters (one wonders just how “giant” the “giant” sized characters will be), and will have a seasonal cycle (presumably an unpredictable one) that changes in the course of play.

Doesn't look that good, but what to expect ... I still hate Bethesda for turning down the offer of making a RPG (like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series) for aSoIaF. I assume they regret it themselves.

Why would they regret it? They already have a highly successful dark fantasy rpg series that's sold millions upon millions of copies. They're already taking a gamble on the MMO they're making, starting up a second fantasy rpg series probably doesn't sound too appetizing to them right now.

You're right, but they got the offer before the HBO show. So now, Game of Thrones being so popular and all and Pete Hines (marketing dude, vice president of Bethesda) being a fan of the series (he was reading the book during Skyrim's development), they could regret their decision.

I wouldn't have wanted a FP RPG (Elder Scrolls style) GoT so I for one am glad Bethesda didn't get it. Though I can't say I'm thrilled at what did come out.
They shoulda got Capcom to make it, Dragon's Dogma looks great. Or From Software because Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are brilliant.

From Software would make the best ASOIAF game hands down, period. I even named my Dark Souls character Azor Ahai and was using Quelaag's Furysword.

Nope, CD Projekt Red would be the PERFECT studio to handle something like Game Of Thrones. Have you not played Witcher 1 or 2? It is so much like ASOIAF/GoT. Very mature, with swearing every which way, and the story is very important, as are the characters.
This doesn't look bad though. Really looking forward to it.
