I hate you Amazon

So I'm reading A Feast for Crows (mind you, I got the 4 mass paperback on Amazon in a case), and guess what?

I get to page 389, and I'm reading the story of Victorian, and then all of a sudden it goes to page like 490.

WTF?

At this point, I can't even return it or contact the seller on amazon.

So now I couldn't read AFFC for 2 days already.

At lunch break, I am going to Barnes & noble which is like 10 blocks away, and going to buy it there.

I can't wait to order another one and wait like 10 days, and I definitely don't want to pay 7.99 for fast shipping

That really sucks, but I'm not sure how that's amazons fault. If you read the customer reviews, several people claimed to have similar issues.

I got the 4 pack as well, only on kindle, and outside of a few very minor typos that may or may not have also been in the original books, it was flawless and a great bargain. Sorry you're having trouble with the paperback copy, id be pissed too.

Yeah, I just checked Amazon myself. It wasn't Amazon, but whoever mass produced those copies. I've seen reviews saying pages were missing and took my chances. 3/5 stars ain't that bad, so I went with it, especially since they were cheap. Luckily, I only have to replace one book and Barnes doesn't sell it that expensive.

I just hate going to spend 10-15 more bucks for 100 pages.

Major suckage.... :bang:

I've been reading the books from the library pending my decision to buy them. When I had to wait 2 days between AFfc and ADwd because someone else was finishing reading it, I was crestfallen.

I can only imagine what you went thru.

I've now decided to buy the paperbook set and appreciate the warning. I had no idea that was going on.

Thx for the info. :drunk:

No problem, I recommend going elsewhere to buy the set.

Anyway, I fixed my problem by going to Barnes and Noble to buy the book.

For 100 pages that I was missing, I spent $9.50

I normally hate using hashtags, but #Addicted

I had this problem with a copy of Credo by Melvyn (great book if you like historical 'fiction'), the book shop changed it without question, as it was a faulty product.

Have you not got the same sort of consumer rights in the US (I assume that is where you are, I am in the UK), because surely there is nowhere you could know that the book was missing pages, until you got to that part. I hope you can at least claim some of your money back.

Lots of luck!
