How much have you watched? Which season did you give up on? I watched part of season 1 when it aired and gave up because it was just so terrible. But after constantly being told that it gets much, much better I finally watched seasons 2 and 3 (in about three days) and loved it. So, I guess my suggestion would be to marathon have of season 2 in a single day and if you feel like continuing, which I think you will, then do so, if not then I doubt the show is for you.

I had this experience as well. The first season is rubbish, everything after has been golden.

Ive found this latest season has dropped off more than community, but yeah it had a good stretch there. Maybe halfwayish through season 3, the schticknjust wore out its welcome

Almost the whole show is quotable, but these are some that have stuck in my mind, The Wire:
Omar: I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game tho', right?
Avon: That's the difference between you and me. I bleed red and you bleed green. I look at you these days and I see a man without a country. Not tough enough for us here, and maybe, just maybe not smart enough for them out there.
A tree that doesn't bend breaks, Cedric.
A tree that bends too far is already broken.
You follow the drugs and you get dope iends and drug dealers. But you follow the money and you don't know where that shit will lead you.
Desmond:
I'll see you in another life, brotha!
Heroes:
Save the cheerleader, save the world.
And maybe my favorite:
John Lcoke's Don't tell me what I can't do!

Hehe. You should watch "Malcolm in the Meth Lab" on youtube too. They use clips from both shows and it blends together great. I'm not gonna spoil it by describing what it is.
Another great quote is from Prison Break:
"I'm breaking out of here."
"Michael, it's impossible."
"Not if you designed the place."
I just like the last sentence.
